Mostly, clients who asks you the price you charge at the beginning of a conversation are doing that to compare your price to other options they've might have, as such they move on immediately you tell them the price you charge.
Remember, you don't want to lose the control of the conversation

Redirect the conversation to the reason behind them needing your service.
"The one who's able to understand his audiences most becomes the winner".
Thus, you want to understand their pains and desires.
Redirect the conversation by saying
"it depends on what you would like to achieve sir/ma'am. Would you mind telling me what that is?" or something similar.
Get the point?
And sure you do.
