Weekend Recap: Security Awareness in Abuja
This weekend, I had the privilege of speaking to residents, young professionals, and families in Abuja about personal safety and security awareness.
We discussed real concerns affecting the city today including “one-chance” robberies, kidnappings, and attacks in public spaces but the focus was not fear. It was preparation.
Some key reminders from the session:
🚖 Use trusted transportation only
💰 Avoid displaying valuables in public
🔄 Change your routines regularly
🧠 Trust your instincts when something feels wrong
🏠 Keep emergency supplies and contacts ready
📞 Stay prepared before an emergency happens
Most importantly: your life is always worth more than your belongings. Stay calm and prioritize survival in dangerous situations.
Abuja can be safer when we stay aware, informed, and prepared.
