Being a good person does not mean you should be na!ve in relationship matters. You need to understand the way life works so that even while you are gentle as a dove, you are also wise as a s£rp£nt.

Many “good girls” get hurt not because of their values but because of false assumptions and lack of knowledge. Being good is not the only criterion to succeed in a relationship. You can be good and still suff£r so much in a way that makes you regret your goodness.

First, you need to do away with that entitlement mentality which makes you believe that because you are good, you deserve a good man. Or that God owes you a good man because you kept yourself.

Sis, I know you were taught that, but it is wrong. Life doesn’t always reward you in the way that you expect for being a good girl; it rewards your understanding of the world and how you apply wisdom to your advantage.

Second, you need to understand that you are in a w!cked world and stop assuming that others have the same pure intentions as you. If you don't know this, you become an easy target for people who just want to use and dump you.

And make no mistake about it, or allow anybody to deceive you that being a good girl doesn't pay. It will shield you from a lot.

You protect yourself from scandals, emotional baggage, pregnancy scares, or raising a child alone. You also protect yourself from trauma of being used, d!scarded, or dragged into cycles you’ll need years to recover from.

So, keep your values but don't be na!ve. Understand how life works and be very knowledgeable in relationship matters.

Godly doesn’t mean gull!bl£. Virtue doesn’t mean vulnerability. Be good, but also be wise.

My first time sleeping in an expensive hotel, I was given a key card for my room.

I was with my friend who also had his own room.

Later in the evening, we went out for dinner, and when we came back, everyone went to his room.

When I entered my hotel room, there was no light. I was so furious, after paying so much for the room, how could there be no power?

I waited for hours hoping it would be restored. Eventually, I got tired and called my friend. He told me he had light in his room.

But he was laughing while talking to me, and that made me even angrier. I ended the call.

A few minutes later, he knocked on my door. I opened it, and he came in, picked up the key card, and slotted it into the holder by the door.

Boom. Power was restored.

Omo, this guy started laughing at me!
He even rolled on the floor laughing 😅😅

What was my crime?
I didn’t know I was supposed to place the key card in the holder to activate the power. 😆

Growing up, I had never seen something like that.

So tell me, how was I supposed to know placing the card there would bring back the light?

I was used to my normal wall switch. Which one is “insert card for power”? 😆😆😆

Hotels will humble you.
