We’ve been tied up with new hotel setups lately, working under extremely tight timelines to deliver good results. Every member of our team has been stretched thin because we’re being brought in at the very last minute.

We keep advising hotel owners: bring us in while furnishing and finishing are still underway, not after everything is completely done.

Hurrying a hotel setup doesn’t make the work faster. It either increases the risk of mistakes or demands significantly more manpower, time, energy and resources to prevent them.

Going forward, last-minute hotel setups will attract double our standard setup fees.

If you choose to start late and then need us to hurry, the additional pressure and resources required will come at a cost.

Opening a hotel is not just about putting furniture in rooms, hiring a few people and unlocking the doors.

The foundation has to be properly built, from operations, staffing, systems, procedures, procurement to technology, service standards, marketing, revenue strategy and everything in between.

That takes time.
Give your hotel at least 6 weeks to be properly prepared for opening.

Coming to your hospitality professional at the last minute and saying, “We need to open in 3 days” may get the doors open, but it does not mean the hotel is properly ready.

And when things are done wrongly in the beginning, fixing them later can cost you more money, more time and more customers than doing them correctly from day one.

In hospitality, the cost of starting wrong is often much higher than the cost of starting right.

Don’t rush the opening.
Build the foundation first. Then open.
