BLESSINGS FOR THE NEW WEEK
Lord in your name we shall step out of our homes today to go and do our work and activities. Be with us and bless our efforts.

Thank you for the gift of this new week. Thank you for the gift of life. Thank you for the new opportunity to do your will. Lead us in the right path and may your will be done in our lives. May your glory shield us from every harm and let our going out and coming in find favour in your sight.

Give us the grace to show charity and help those in need as much as we can and in our times of need, may your divine assistance always be available to lift us up. Amen.

Dear friend, it is a new day and a new week. I wish you the very best in all that you shall do. May God, bless you immensely, lift you up once again and may good things come your way. Be kind, be charitable, be merciful and work hard for it is well with you.

May God remember you and pour out his blessings upon you in abundance. Amen. If God sends you help when you need it, please try to help others who are in need of your help too.

🙏 WHY DOES A DEACON WEAR HIS STOLE ACROSS HIS SHOULDER?🤔

_________________
Many people ask:
Why does the deacon wear his stole differently from the priest?

The answer is deep and beautiful.🤚

🔹 Not Power, But Service

The deacon is not ordained to lead the Church like a priest.
He is ordained to serve, just like Jesus did.

The word "deacon" comes from the Greek "diakonos" meaning "servant".
So, his vestment, especially the stole, must reflect that.

While a priest wears his stole straight down on both shoulders,
the deacon wears it from his left shoulder, across his chest, and ties it at the side.

But why?

💡 Every Part Has Meaning:

🔥From the shoulder – because that’s where you carry a burden.
The deacon carries the burden of the Gospel, of the poor, of the Church.

🔥Across the chest – it crosses the heart.
Because service must come from love. Without love, it's just work.

🔥Tied at the side – because he’s ready to serve.
Like a servant rolling up their sleeves, the deacon is always ready.

✝️ The Stole Is a Cross

That stole, crossing from shoulder to side, is shaped like a cross.
It reminds the deacon, and all of us, that to serve like Jesus is to carry a cross.

👉It's not about looking important.
👉It's about loving deeply, serving humbly, and giving joyfully.

The deacon wears what Christ wore:
👉A towel to wash feet.
👉A cross to save the world.

💬 A Message Without Words

When you see a deacon in his stole, you’re seeing a message:

👉“I am here to serve, not to be served.”
👉“I carry Christ’s message, with love.”
👉“I stand between the altar and the street, to bring God to the people, and the people to God.”

❤️ So:

The priest’s stole says: I lead you to the altar.
The deacon’s stole says: I walk with you to the streets.

👉It’s not just a cloth.
👉It’s a cross.
👉It’s a calling.

And it's worn…
with the heart in the middle.

God bless you 🙏

A Prayerful Salutation to the New Holy Father: Pope Leo XIV

I wholeheartedly congratulate His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, on his election as the Supreme Pontiff and spiritual leader of over 1.3 billion Catholics worldwide.

His emergence at this critical time in the life of the Church and the world is a profound blessing - one that reaffirms the enduring presence of divine guidance in our shared human journey.

I commend the College of Cardinals for once again demonstrating the Church’s timeless wisdom through prayerful discernment, unity, and fidelity to her sacred traditions. Their decision reflects spiritual depth, attentive listening, and an unwavering openness to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

To the faithful who joined in fervent prayer throughout the conclave, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. Our collective petitions have not been in vain. We now celebrate the gift of a new shepherd to lead the flock with courage, love, and truth.

The inaugural address of Pope Leo XIV was both reassuring and inspiring. It radiated humility, moral clarity, and a renewed call to justice, peace, and solidarity with the most vulnerable.

In a world overwhelmed by division and despair, his words have rekindled hope in the hearts of millions.

A member of the Order of Saint Augustine, Pope Leo XIV is a seasoned missionary, a respected canon lawyer, and the former Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops. His decades of pastoral service, especially in Peru, and his global ecclesial experience are invaluable gifts to the Universal Church and the whole world.

As a firm believer in moral leadership, I pray that his pontificate will be marked by deep spiritual renewal, courageous dialogue, unwavering service to humanity, and fidelity to the Gospel message.

May God bless and guide Pope Leo XIV as he assumes the sacred responsibility of leading the Church through the complexities of our ever-changing world.
