Inauguration of the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council on PHC (SNTRC - PHC)

Strengthening primary healthcare in Nigeria requires more than policies; it requires trust, community ownership, and inclusive leadership.
At the inauguration of the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council on Primary Health Care Committee, this message came through clearly. The active involvement of traditional leaders marks a critical step toward bridging the gap between health systems and the people they serve.

We were honored to be represented at this landmark event, reaffirming NOI Polls’ commitment to advancing data-driven, people-centered health interventions.

The presence and leadership of Dr. Muyi Aina, Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, and Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, Coordinating Minister of the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria underscored the national priority of strengthening primary healthcare systems and rebuilding trust in vaccination efforts across communities.

At NOIPolls, we believe that improving health outcomes starts with understanding people, their realities, their concerns, and their trust systems. Through our work supporting immunisation campaigns across Nigeria, we have seen firsthand how community engagement and accountability can transform service delivery and increase vaccine uptake.

This inauguration is not just a moment; it is a step towards building stronger health systems and a more informed community.

A proud milestone as we unveil the NOI Polling Center (NOPC) Annex, reflecting growth, dedication, and our unwavering commitment to impact.

This new space strengthens our capacity and reinforces our mission to amplify the voices of underserved communities while supporting data-driven policymaking that brings leaders closer to the people they serve.

We are proud because this is built on hard work, strong values, and a sense of purpose. It marks another step toward meaningful change.

The Frequent Assessment and Systems Tools for Resilience (FASTR) Nigeria Round 3 Survey has officially commenced with a comprehensive three-day training of analysts, marking the next phase in ongoing efforts to strengthen system performance through frequent assessments. Conducted in continued partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare - , and the Global Financing Facility (GFF), the training included a detailed review of the survey tools, practical role-play sessions, and concluded with a pilot to validate readiness for implementation. The sessions were highly interactive and engaging, reflecting the analysts’ growing experience from participating across multiple rounds.

This round is significant as it expands the FASTR framework to include workforce and community engagement components, alongside existing areas such as challenges, service delivery, infrastructure and supplies. By broadening the scope of assessment, Round 3 provides a holistic view of Nigeria’s Primary Health Care (PHC) system, strengthening the depth and relevance of the data generated for decision-making.

As implementation begins, we look forward to Round 3 generating deeper insights that will inform evidence-based decision-making and support continuous improvement across the health sector. We also anticipate the outcomes from this round and how they will contribute to strengthening Nigeria’s Primary Health Care system.
