Why most VAs or Service pros struggle to get clients...
So one of my students reached out to me with a message that he's yet to get a client since taking my class and that my class was a waste of his time ๐... And after a few questions, he himself realized he's not putting in half as much work as other VAs and service providers who are getting results
If you're not getting client, it may well be because:
1. You're not differentiating yourself enough, so you sound like everyone else. Your messaging isn't clear, so clients don't know exactly what you do and how you help.
2. You speak your language (the expert language), not your audiences (VAs note: nobody wakes up saying, today I'm going to hire a VA to help with my website, blog, social media or admin type tasks!). And it's worse if you're sounding too big for them and cannot speak to their pain.
3. You are not visible. Nobody knows you or your services. Or you haven't nurtured your audience enough and shown them why your services is what they need.
You have to constantly and consistently warm up your audience by talking about why they need those services or the impact it could have in their business. Build the awareness in their language.
4. You are desperate and desperation is a red flag for most prospects. You want quick money. You enrolled in that course (any course at all) because you've read or heard that people are cashing out in $$$ as VAs. And so you envisioned an easy route to wealth as opposed to a business you need to build and allow to grow overtime.
5. You only look for client when you need money instead of thinking about your clients' journey.
6. You don't articulate the RESULT your clients will get from working with you.
7. You're attracting the same audience as everyone else instead of hyper-targeting.
8. You probably have a lot of inner work to do too! (Yes, your inner game is crucial if you must succeed in anything you want to do).
9. You're not selling enough -- posting sales posts, making offers, asking for the sale, scheduling enough calls, etc.
10. People literally just don't know you exist because you post and ghost or don't post at all.
Most people who show up with this complains don't have an active social media presence, don't have a website, email list, or anything that allows them to put the words out for their businesses either organically or with ads, and they are not active on platforms where they can find clients.
So, how do you expect clients to find you and trust you with their business when you can't even do the work.
EVERYTHING listed in this post are ALL fixable with strategy.
Get to work!
