The 6th Africa Tourism Day initiated by Desigo Tourism Development and Facilities Management Company Ltd and led by Dr-Abigail Adesina Olagbaye in the year 2020 during Covid 19 pandemic was marked on the 26th November 2025. We are glad to celebrate this 6th milestone with the theme- Africa's Tourism Pivoting for Growth and Sustainability. The theme is a clear indication of Africa's Tourism resilience and growth. We are not just recovering post pandemic, we are pivoting, with 12 % growth announced by the UN Tourism led by North Africa with 14% increase headlined by Morocco and Egypt and 11% East Africa led by Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa in the Southern Africa region are indicators of not just resilience but contributions to Africa's local economies. Join us in the 60-days Pledge to Pivot Principles campaign. A call to Africa's Tourism leaders and stakeholders to support the growth and sustainability of the sector.

Every 26th day of November, Africa Tourism Day is observed and commemorated.

Tomorrow, 26th of November, 2025, it will be the 6th Africa Tourism Day with the theme -

Africa's Tourism Pivoting for Growth and Sustainability.

November 26, Africa Tourism Day is a day set aside since the year 2020, to celebrate Africa's vibrant tourism, its value, impact and contributions to livelihoods and its bold and frontal contributions to African economies.

Join us to celebrate 55 resplendent nations,
1.5 billion positive vibes and pulses of culture, creativity and candour, vast immersive, mesmerising destinations. The value of our forests, lands, trees and green verdant vegetation The power of our rythms, dance, songs and stories, the beauty and soul of Africa's tourism is soft yet grand, alluring and irrestible!

We call on all stakeholders across Africa to join the 60 Days Campaign as we pledge to pivot Africa's Tourism.
