In my pursuit of knowledge in my career field, I registered for the just concluded 53rd CIPM Annual National Conference which held at the Abuja International Conference and I must say it was an A+ event.
The wealth/depth of knowledge shared, the class of speakers, the organization, the people/network, the food🤩 was really good.
Thank you to the president of institute Mr OLUSEGUN MOJEED , the planning committee and everyone else that contributed to the success of that event. Thank you

Good Morning My People,

Are you are still experiencing issues of your employees calling you to resolve an operational issue once you step out of the office?🤔🤔

Hmmm...this is a clear sign that you need to structure your business.

For one, it shows that your processes are not documented, which will ultimately make it difficult for your employees to know how you want things done.

I strongly recommend that you start documenting your processes.

You can start with a simple SOP (standard operating procedure) documents. Link in Bio or Send a DM we create one specifically to suit your business.

Good Morning Business Owners,

Every year, businesses lose revenue due to inefficiencies. All because your current way of working isn’t as fine-tuned as it could be.

There’s a gap in your business, and it’s the lack of systems that are impacting your revenue. It’s a common problem that affects the new to seasoned businesses.

Not having well-fitted systems in place to run your operation can be more stressful. It results in bad time management, lack of motivation, and squirrel syndrome. Most of all, a sense of overwhelm starts to creep in and knock you off of your intentional plan.

Most business owners began their business as a “technician.” having to do it all...it doesn't have to be so.

Systems are often neglected because of a perceived lack of urgency. There are other important things to do like sales, marketing, and service fulfillment.

Over time as your business grew, you'll start seeing the cracks formed by the lack of systems in place.

You can often see how a successful business is run based on the owner’s mindset. If an owner has a systems mindset, business growth and scaling is almost always present. If you understand the value of having systems in place, you will have more time to do what you love while your business runs itself.

Many business owners often don't realize that inventory is liquid 💰

So, what is an inventory?

Inventory is also known as stock - items that a business buys/manufacture and then sell in the course of business.

My people, inventory does not mean the finished goods only, but also the raw materials used in manufacturing the goods to the final products and the work-in-progress. Many CEOs don’t understand this.

And that’s why they often feel that they need to protect their cash more than inventory; forgetting that a major part of their capital is invested in inventory.

And for some, they don’t know how to effectively manage their inventory so they continue to manage whatever shortcomings they are seeing or feeling.

Managing your inventory properly is as important as making sales, and of what use is sales when inventory is not checked?

Get this clear:

There are better ways of doing what you are currently doing such as keeping your inventory properly, in order to avoid setting up yourself for failure.

To make inventory easy, we all need to systemize our business and ensure our financial structure is solid.

Structure Your business and delegate where you are not strong to others, give them room to grow and your business will grow along with everyone.

But first put the systems and processes in place.

We're all in the business of transformation but if you don't put the right mechanism in place which is structure then you'll overwork, get frustrated and still not see desired results.

Dear CEO,

This one is for you; if you want your business to experience the growth you desire then you should be ready to lead from the front.

For instance, you can't implement a process that says all expenses should be signed for and then come back to take money from the business and when your staff try to implement you frown and play the boss card.

When you continue in this habit sooner or later the business will suffer. You Get The Point.

So if structuring your business is what you desire to experience growth then be ready as the CEO to comply.

Most small business owners think they are too "small" or “busy” to structure their business. They think business structure is meant only for the big brands.
So they neglect to do the needful, even when they already have a few employees.

You can't imagine what that zeal can do for your structured business.

Here are a few reasons why you need to structure your business.

1. When your attention is constantly being needed to address one operational issues or the other. For example, you receive regular calls from your employees anytime you step out of the office.

2. You get stressed out almost everyday after business and yet you have employees.

3. Most actions in your business must get your immediate attention before it's done.

4. You are making sales but you aren't keeping a proper record of your inflows and outflows.

5. You don't have other important records for your business activities.

6. You are finding it difficult to pay your business bills.

7. Employee resignation from your organization occur too frequently and in most cases without notices.

If you have structures already in place, but still experience some of the challenges listed, then you need an upgrade.

In truth, having a business should not make you lose sleep or an opportunity to invest in beautiful relationships -- which are very important in the success equation as a whole.
