Today, I’ll be joining Reason2Vote Naija 2.0’s Process Over Outcome Conversation to discuss “Beyond Tokenism: Building a Girl Child Political Leadership in Nigeria.”

All we have is now..

I’ve been thinking about one of the ways I get in my own way: I can be an impulsive perfectionist.

It sounds contradictory, I know. 😅

As a big-picture strategist, I see the vision clearly and because I can see it, I sometimes want everything to be perfectly in place before I begin.

The right plan.
The right timing.
The right resources.
The confidence that I know exactly what I’m doing.
_
That need to have everything figured out has paralysed me more times than I can remember.

So now, when I find myself stuck, I’ve learned to ask myself: “What if the thing you’ve been waiting for doesn’t require more time, but a decision?”

That question usually brings me back to reality.
_
Sometimes we spend so much time waiting to feel ready, confident or certain that we forget something important: Clarity often comes after we begin.
_
So, a note to myself and maybe to you too:
Take the first step.
Start imperfectly.
Learn as you go.

Give yourself permission to grow into the person who can handle what comes next. I don’t need to have everything figured out today. I just need to be willing to move.

I chose to live it before I post it.

For a while, I took a step back from social media not because life wasn’t happening, but because it was.

I needed to remind myself that I could enjoy the moment without documenting it. That I could be fully present, live mindfully, experience new things, make memories, grow, laugh, explore and quietly enjoy the life I’m building.

And what an amazing ride it has been.

Now, as we step into the final quarter of the year, I’m ready to share a little more of what I’ve been up to, the places I’ve been, the experiences I’ve had, the lessons I’ve learned, and some of the beautiful moments that never made it online.

Consider this my little catch-up series.
I lived it first. Now, I’m ready to tell the stories.

Today isn’t the end.
It is an invitation to continue.

Keep breathing.
Keep reflecting.
Keep returning to yourself.

You have created a rhythm. Now make it a way of life.

Honoured to be invited, in my capacity as a Nigerian Peace Ambassador, to moderate a timely conversation on “Youth, Elections and Digital Responsibility” at the International Peace Summit 2026.

As social media continues to shape public opinion, political participation and our relationships with one another, we must empower young people to use their digital voices responsibly not as instruments of division, but as forces for truth, dialogue, accountability and peace.

I look forward to joining leaders, advocates and changemakers as we explore the summit’s theme: “The Power of the Feed: Social Media, Faith and the Future of Peace.”

As I celebrate another year of life, my heart is filled with love and gratitude.

Thank you to my family, friends, colleagues, mentors, and everyone who took a moment to celebrate me with your calls, messages, prayers, gifts, and kind words. Every expression of love reminded me that life’s greatest blessings are the people we share it with.

Turning 40 is more than a milestone for me, it’s a celebration of becoming. A celebration of growth, resilience, purpose, lessons learned, and the beautiful journey that continues to unfold.

I don’t take your love and support for granted. Thank you for walking this journey with me, believing in me, cheering me on, and reminding me that none of us truly walks alone.

As I step into this new chapter, I do so with renewed hope, deeper purpose, and great excitement for everything that lies ahead. Here’s to more impact, more adventures, more meaningful connections, and becoming even more of who I was created to be.
