Printing technology involve alot of technical and practical way of learning. but in Africa the numerous opportunities in printing has not been utilised.

we still use 201, kord 64 and surd, while our other counter use speed master Quick master Direct Imaging and Gravure machine.

To move ahead in printing one must be knowledgeable about the machine u are about to install

if u must buy machine make sure the market is massively available so u dont run at a loss or stay idle

Proper costing and estimating in printing technology necessary
know all processess involved for proper costing of material and where to involve buyout

Printing is a good business if you have the right knowledge, invest in the right people. go for exhibition like drupa and Nipex (Nigeria) it would go a long way in shaping ur industry.

Printing is beyond paper and ink it's versite printers dont look for job, job look for them.
if u want job to look for u find a niche and specalize in it.

be focused , dedicated, passionate.

THE LIFE OF A TECHNOLOGIST STARTS WITH PRINTING AND ENDS IN PRINTING BUT MY FEARS IS THAT MOST STUDENTS WHO STUDIES PRINTING DON'T KNOW WHAT PRINTING ENTAILS RATHER THEY WENT INTO THE SAGA JUST TO ACQUIRE THE CERTIFICATE. I wish we all can wakeup that bring a transformation to the printing sector in the country.
