Yesterday, the staff of Ash Medix Pharmacy and Stores had the distinct honor of presenting a special congratulatory message to our visionary Chairman, Isma'il Yusuf Ashafa, FICJC PhD (Sardaunan Ikulu).

Healthy Tips For Ramadan

1. đź’§ Hydration After Iftar
Drink in Intervals, Not All at Once. Your body absorbs water better when taken in small amounts throughout the night. Aim for a glass every hour between Iftar and Suhoor to hit your 2–3 liter goal. Avoid sugary drinks, which can cause energy crashes and increased thirst.

2. 🍲 Balanced Suhoor
Fuel for the Long Haul. Prioritize Complex Carbohydrates (like oats or rice) and Fiber. These digest slowly, providing steady energy throughout the day. Add protein (eggs or yogurt) to help with satiety and muscle maintenance.

3. 🩺 Speak to a Doctor/Pharmacist Before Fasting if You’re on Medication
Professional Clearance is Essential. If you are managing a condition that requires daily medication, your first step should be a consultation. A doctor can assess if fasting is medically safe for you this year, ensuring you don't put your health at risk while seeking spiritual rewards.

4. 💊 Don’t Skip Prescribed Medication
Consistency is Vital. Abruptly stopping medication for a fast can lead to dangerous relapses or complications. Health is a gift from Allah; maintaining it is an act of worship. Ensure your condition remains stable so you can experience the month in the best possible state.

5. đź•° Consult a Doctor Before Changing Dosage
Timing Matters. Never "double up" doses or move a midday pill to Suhoor without expert advice. Different medications have different "half-lives"—shifting the time can make some drugs toxic or completely ineffective. Your doctor can help create a Ramadan-safe schedule.

The Management of Ash Medix Pharmacy would like to formally thank everyone involved in yesterday’s outreach at Pasali.

The health outreach was a resounding success, and we couldn't have done it without you!

Specifically, we recognize the Sarkin Pasali for his leadership and the residents of Pasali for their cooperation.
