The 2016 General Data Protection Regulation is 99-Article Regulation that covers basic data privacy rules for all European Union citizens. This Regulation requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for any transaction that occur within the European Union.

How is this your problem? Is any portion of your business contracted in any of the European Union countries? Plainly put, do you already, or do you intend to make your products or services available to customers in the European Union? Would that transaction require you to collect any personal information from these customers?

If yes, then the GDPR is your problem and must be complied with.

Seek adequate legal advice now. The fines associated with non-compliance are too steep.
