Everyone should learn from this Grandma! 🥹
As a young girl, Karthyayani Amma had to leave school early to help support her family, putting her education on hold. Many years later, with encouragement from her great-grandchildren, she began to learn how to read and write for the first time.
At the age of 96, she took the ‘Aksharalaksham’ literacy exam and scored an impressive 98 out of 100, outperforming 40,000 others who were much younger than her.
Her achievement became symbol of determination and lifelong learning, earning her India’s highest civilian award for women. She showed the world that it is never too late to chase knowledge or dreams.
Nightfam, let her story inspire you to hold on to curiosity, keep believing, and never stop learning.
