Our explores how Technology is using artificial intelligence and drones to make malaria prevention more targeted, efficient and data-driven.

By combining drone imagery, AI-powered analysis and digital mapping, the technology helps identify high-risk mosquito breeding sites and direct vector-control efforts precisely where they are needed. This can reduce the time, human resources and larvicide required to control mosquitoes while supporting more efficient malaria prevention efforts.

With the World Health Organization African Region carrying 95% of global malaria cases and deaths in 2024, innovative approaches such as this demonstrate how technology can support stronger, more sustainable responses to some of Africa’s most persistent public health challenges.

As we commemorate Eid-el-Maulud, we reflect on the values of compassion, service and peace that continue to inspire us.

May the blessings of this season renew our hope, strengthen our commitment to serving others, and remind us of the power of kindness in building stronger communities.

“We must take ownership of our people’s health and make a real and lasting impact.” - Dr. Melchior Athanase Joël C. Aïssi (2025)

Lasting progress in health cannot be outsourced. It requires us to own our priorities, our systems, and the actions needed to deliver better outcomes for our people.

This means moving beyond temporary interventions towards solutions that are locally led, sustainably financed, and built to endure.

MYTH OR REALITY?

Patient satisfaction matters. But can satisfaction alone tell us whether care is truly high quality?

A patient may feel satisfied with their experience while important questions about safety, effectiveness, timeliness and health outcomes remain unanswered.

That’s why measuring quality requires looking beyond how care feels to what care achieves.

MYTH OR REALITY?

More healthcare spending always leads to better health outcomes.

It sounds logical: invest more, improve more.

And investment matters. Health systems cannot deliver better outcomes without adequate and sustained financing.

But more spending alone does not guarantee better results. Where resources are directed, how effectively they are used, whether they reach the people and services that need them most, and whether they address the system’s biggest constraints all shape what that investment achieves.

The goal is not simply to spend more. It is to invest enough and invest well to deliver better health outcomes.

So, what’s your call?

On World Humanitarian Day, we honour those who step forward when others are most vulnerable and remember those who never made it home.

Humanitarian and health workers protect lives in some of the most challenging circumstances. They deserve more than our gratitude. They deserve safety, protection, support and accountability.

Protect those who protect humanity.

Today, we call for stronger action to safeguard humanitarian and health workers and enable them to continue their life-saving work.

You have funding for one major healthcare improvement initiative.

Do you strengthen the healthcare workforce or accelerate digital transformation?

Both can improve health system performance. But when resources are limited, where you invest matters.

A stronger workforce can improve the quality, safety, and continuity of care. Digital transformation can strengthen data, efficiency, and decision-making.

So, if you had to choose today, which would you prioritise?

👥 Strengthen the healthcare workforce
💻 Accelerate digital transformation

And more importantly, why?

Ducit Blue Solutions was honored to participate, as a partner organisation, in the Second Quarter 2026 National Human Resources for Health Technical Working Group (NHRH-TWG) Meeting, convened by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Abuja.

The five-day engagement brought together government institutions, development partners, and technical experts to review and validate the National Health Labour Market Analysis (HLMA) Report, assess progress in state-level implementation, and contribute to the ongoing review of the National Human Resources for Health Strategic Plan.

The meeting also featured technical presentations, group work, discussions on workforce profiling and registry updates, and collaborative sessions aimed at strengthening evidence-based health workforce planning and governance across Nigeria.

At Ducit Blue Solutions, we remain committed to supporting data-driven decision-making, health systems strengthening, and multi-sectoral collaboration that advances a resilient and sustainable health workforce.

We appreciate the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to these important national discussions. We look forward to continued collaboration in advancing Human Resources for Health in Nigeria.

“We can have all the science, but if journalists do not communicate it to the public, then the science becomes useless.”- Dr. Patrick Dakum, 2025

Science generates evidence. Communication turns evidence into understanding and understanding into action.

For issues like antimicrobial resistance, communicating the science is not an afterthought. It is part of the solution.
