Something fundamental has changed in the market and most entrepreneurs won't notice until it's too late.

Everyone is selling something on the internet today.

The young man selling phone accessories on Instagram. The lady promoting skincare on WhatsApp. The graduate offering freelance services on Facebook. The uncle who just discovered dropshipping and won't stop sending broadcast messages.

Everyone is selling something.

The internet made a promise to our generation. Freedom. The ability to make money from anywhere. To escape the 9-to-5. To build wealth without a rich uncle or a government connection. For a while, it delivered on that promise. The early people got in and made money.

Then something changed.

The market got saturated. The same products started appearing everywhere with different names. The same courses started being repackaged with new covers. The same gurus started showing up with the same rented Lamborghinis and the same photoshopped bank statements.

And people got tired.

Not tired of buying. Tired of being lied to.

This is the first shift: The market is saturated, and trust is broken.

Then came the second shift, the one that most people completely missed.

In 2023, ChatGPT changed everything. Suddenly, anyone with a phone and data could access world-class information for free. Business plans. Marketing strategies. Sales scripts. Step-by-step guides for any industry. All of it. Free. Instant.

By 2026, AI is everywhere. It writes emails, creates content, answers questions, builds websites. The tools that used to cost consultants millions of naira to provide are now available to anyone for almost nothing.

Which means one thing:

Information is no longer the product. Anybody selling "knowledge" is already competing with something that works for free.

So now we have a market that is saturated with sellers, full of broken trust, and flooded with free information.

That sounds like a crisis. But here is what I discovered; it is actually the greatest opportunity our generation has ever seen.

Let me explain.

When I was trying to build a business and failing, I was broke, bitter, working 14-hour days and making nothing. I thought the problem was me. That I was missing something. That everyone else had figured out a secret I couldn't find.

I was right that something was missing. But I was wrong about what it was.

The missing thing was not information. I had plenty of that. I had consumed more courses, videos, and podcasts than I can count.

The missing thing was this: I was trying to sell products in a market that had stopped buying products. People were only buying one thing. The solutions to problems they were already carrying.

Specific solutions, not generic.

Not another course from another guru with no results.

This is what I now call the Solution Economy. And it is not saturated.

It cannot be saturated.

Because problems are infinite and solutions are personal.

There are a million people selling food. But how many are specifically solving the problem of healthy, affordable meals for busy Lagos professionals who have no time to cook?

There are a million people selling skincare. But how many are specifically solving the problem of hyperpigmentation for dark-skinned Nigerian women in their 30s who have tried everything and nothing has worked?

The difference is in the story.

When you niche down to a specific problem for a specific person, you are no longer competing with everyone. You are in a category of one. And when the right person finds you, the sale is not a fight, it is a relief.

The new rule of wealth in 2026 is not:

I sell products.

It is:

I solve “specific problems” for “specific people”, and “I do it better than anyone else.”

I wrote this down in a full breakdown. The shift, the framework and a step-by-step system for applying it to any business, any niche, starting from zero.

Let me ask you something I want you to answer honestly.

The last time you made a post about your business, what were you actually thinking about?

Take 10 seconds. Be real.

Were you thinking about your product? Your price? Your offer?

I used to post every single day for my clients.

Product photos. Price lists. "DM to order." Discount announcements. Flash sales. Testimonials from the one customer who actually bought.

I was consistent. I was hardworking. I genuinely believed in what I was doing.

And every day, I would sit and wait.

People don't buy products. They buy solutions to problems they are already carrying.

Did you know the man who built one of the biggest companies on the planet was rejected from Harvard 10 times, applied for jobs and was rejected 30 times?

His name is Jack Ma, he wasn't always the smartest or the lucky one but he won over his setbacks by refusing to let failure become his identity.

He treated his rejections and failures as feedbacks, he let the data build a tough skin for his ambitions instead of getting personal with his emotions.

Here's a bitter reality of many talented people:

They try something once and If it doesn't work, they quietly quit.

One failed business attempt and they think "I'm not a business person."

Did you know your environment decide your future?

The numbers show that majority of young Nigerian adults grew up in a moderate neighborhood where everyone is hustling hard and smart as needed to survive.

When you grow up in neighborhood where the smart people are hard working, live comfortable and could afford basic needs. The version of success you've seen and interacted with is the type built on survival dressed in stylish suit. Majority of the time, this leads to a very limited worldview.

There's a reason the kid who grows up watching their neighbor build a successful business from scratch thinks differently from the kid who only saw people complain about the economy.

Both maybe intelligent and work hard but one grew up with a different picture of possibilities and understanding of what success looks like.

Here's the truth;
You cannot become what you have never seen. Same way you can't desire what you don't know exists.

Not because you're not capable.
But because the brain builds its map of possible reality faster from what it observes.

The good news is;
Technology has level the playing field, anyone can upgrade their world knowledge and standards now. The internet is a leverage, you don't need to physically move to change your exposure anymore.

You can start by changing:
What you read.
Who you follow.
What you listen to.
Which communities you belong to.

This is important because your digital environment is just as powerful as your physical one and you should start treating it that way.

Wealth knowledge and patterns are no longer hidden from the masses, you have success stories of "from zero to wealth" all around you. It is your duty to seek knowledge and rescue yourself.

When you change your input, it directly changes your possible output.

Remember growth is inside out, when you change your direction, you destination changes by consequence.
