NSF Developments Limited consulted on the Stakeholder Engagement on social inclusion for At-risk and held in the Lagos Hall of the Hilton Hotel in Abuja, on 13th July 2021.
The joint session brought together up to 60 participants from several Ministries, Departments and Agencies, Development Partners, Civil Society Organisations, Traditional & Religious Leaders, representatives of people living with disabilities and Private Sector individuals.
The of the meeting were to identify the issues of exclusion of children and youth at risk from opportunities, agree on the criteria for targeting children and youth at risk for empowerment , identify intersecting drivers of exclusion to guide programming; and identify ways to better serve the needs of the , to empower them.
From different perspectives, presenters at the occasion shared their experiences and history working with children and youths at risk. Experiences that highlighted gaps that, despite intervention programmes, still exist in addressing the issue of at-risk children and youths in Nigeria.
The engagement concluded with a plenary session held to throw insight into questions arising from the set objectives and draw recommendations.
