What is the difference between MCB and MCCB? MCB means "miniature circuit breaker" while MCCB is "Miniature Current Circuit Breaker or Molded Case Circuit Breaker". Their major difference is MCBs have ratings under 100Amps with an interrupting rating under 18000Amps and their trip characteristics is not adjustable because they are of low circuit while on the other hand, MCCB have adjustable trip characteristics and they are used in high circuits and gives high AMPS as 2500amps to low as 10 depending upon what is needed and its interrupting ratings ranges from 10000 to 200000Amps.
