AGAPE INITIATIVE LAUNCHES FREE SSCE ENROLLMENT PROGRAMME, TAKES EDUCATION SUPPORT TO GRASSROOTS IN UBULUKU
In a bold move to confront the challenges of poverty and educational inequality, Agape Initiative Poverty Alleviation has launched a SSCE Free Enrollment Programme for indigent students in the Ubuluku community, signaling a decisive intervention in grassroots education support.
The programme, which covers the cost of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) registration for financially disadvantaged students, is designed to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, ensuring that no child is denied access to education due to economic hardship.
Speaking at the launch, the Founder of Agape Initiative Poverty Alleviation Comr Sunday Nwaokolo stated that the initiative reflects a clear commitment to social justice, inclusive development, and human capital investment. They emphasized that sustainable development begins with deliberate policies and actions that prioritize education and youth empowerment.
According to the organisation, the programme aligns with broader efforts to strengthen educational access, reduce youth vulnerability, and promote equitable development in underserved communities. By targeting indigent students at the grassroots, the initiative aims to complement government efforts and stimulate broader stakeholder engagement in education financing.
Community leaders and residents of Ubuluku commended the intervention, describing it as a practical response to the realities facing low-income families. Beneficiaries expressed renewed hope and motivation, noting that the programme would significantly enhance their chances of academic success and future socio-economic mobility.
Agape Initiative Poverty Alleviation called on government institutions, political leaders, private sector actors, and development partners to scale up investments in education as a strategic pathway to national growth and stability. The organisation reiterated that empowering young people through education is not an act of charity but a policy imperative for building a resilient and prosperous society.
The SSCE Free Enrollment Programme represents a critical step in repositioning education as a tool for social transformation and economic empowerment in Delta State and beyond.
