Business communication comprises all messages that transpire between you and the players in your business.

These players include your prospects, clients, vendors, government agencies, suppliers, etc. This communication is very crucial to your business, as such, you should KEEP A PROPER TRAIL of all information you exchange.

If you communicate with an individual mostly via email, make sure each email has a trail that links one message to another. Save the important messages in an assigned folder, then add the folder to your cloud storage.

If on the other hand, you communicate with another organisation via hardcopy letters, scan the letters and save them to your cloud storage, and do not forget to store the hardcopy in a waterproof folder.

HOW TO CREATE A CONTENT PLAN

Today is a good day to plan your content.

A good content plan will help you escape from the usual lack of content ideas that most business owners suffer from. It will also help you share quality and well-planned content with your audience instead of "rush work".

All you need:

Notepad and pen or any note app on your device.

Step 1 - Set your goals for the week. Goals could be to make 10 sales, convert 5 leads, add 500 more followers, etc.

Step 2 - Write down the days of the week on separate pages of your notepad.

Step 3 - Come up with themes that align with your goals for each day. Examples of themes are motivational posts, how-to posts, client feedback, product photos, industry memes, etc.

Step 4 - Decide on content types. E.g. reels, story, polls, live, etc.

Step 5 - Create a mockup of the graphic design for each day. Graphics could be product photos, Canva banners, stock photos, user-generated content from your clients, etc.

Step 6 - Start drafting your captions

Step 7 - Gather your hashtags

Step 8 - Design your graphics properly.

Step 9 - Schedule your posts. You could also upload your posts on each day of the week depending on your preference (I prefer this).

Every marketing team loves a good strategy session. There’s energy, ideas, clear direction, and a shared sense of purpose. But after all the exciting plans are made, reality sets in.

Someone has to break those ideas into actual tasks, update the project tracker, set up the check-in calls, send reminders, and make sure deadlines don’t drift.

That’s the admin work, and it’s rarely as exciting as the strategy itself. Without that structure, strategy can easily stall because no one has time to manage the moving parts.
