1. You want something? Go for it!
Some time ago, at a Conference, a motivational speaker, mounted the
Podium, brought out his wallet and pulled out a N500 note.
Holding it up, he asked, "Who wants this N500 note?"
Lots of hands went up. Including mine. A slow chorus began to build
as people began to shout "Me!" "Me!"
I began to wonder who the lucky one would be who the speaker would
choose. And I also secretly wondered (and I am sure others did too)
why he would simply give N500 away.
Even as the shouts of "I want it" grew louder, I noticed a young
woman running down the aisle. She ran up onto the stage, went up to
the speaker, and grabbed the N500 note from his hand.
"Well done, young lady", said the speaker into the microphone.
The speaker simply said, "Most of us just sit and wait for good things
to happen. That's of no use. You've got to make things happen. Make
a move!"
Simply thinking about doing something is of no use and not good
enough. Our lives are like that. We all see opportunities around us. We
all want the good things. But the problem is we don't take action.
We all want the N500 note on offer. But we don't make the move. We
look at it longingly. Get up, and do something about it.
Don't worry about what other people might think.
Take action!
2. Whatever the Nay-Sayers are saying, just mind your business
Later, the speaker got another N500 note and held it up for all to see.
I thought I knew what was up. But he just asked a simple question.
"How much is this worth?" "Five Hundred naira!" the crowd yelled in
unison.
"Right," said the speaker.
He then took the note and crumpled it into a ball and asked, "How
much is it worth now?"
"Five Hundred naira!" screamed the audience.
He then threw the note on the ground, stamped all over it and picked
up the note and asked one more time: "And how much is it worth
now?"
"Five Hundred naira!" was the response.
"I want you to remember this," said the speaker. "Just because
someone crumples it, or stamps on it, the value of the note does not
diminish. We should all be like the N500 note."
Just because someone/some people reject you/your business doesn't
change your/its worth one bit!
Don't allow your self-worth to diminish because someone says
something nasty or rejects you/your business.
IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU. It only shows the person needs to grow, to
mature to it!
Never let your self-worth diminish.

I’ve read and heard so many people saying that your success in MLM business
does not depend in your company, but in yourself alone. In the first place, you
will not succeed in this business if you don’t have the skills needed and belief in
yourself, no matter what the company you are into.
However, is the company really not a factor for your success? You might have
the skills, you are good in recruiting people, but the company you are into has
flaws, then, your efforts will be wasted. Imagine, your group grows big, but your
company went bankrupt because of a flawed compensation plan, what will
happen to you? No matter how good you are, you must also be in the right
company so that your good skills are not wasted.
If you are entering a network marketing business, choose a stable company,
pro-distributor and with a stable compensation plan. Why will you waste your
time in a stable company that is not pro-distributor? Where your earnings are
not growing fast? Despite getting so many downlines, you are not getting paid
enough. And if you stop for a month for some unavoidable reasons, you get
penalized, your points go back to zero and you get demoted. Why waste your
time on these companies?
You might be earning well, but there are companies with unstable compensation
plan. They might be able to pay you these days, but if the network grows big,
the company could lead to overpaying their distributors and become bankrupt.
When you go to the office, you will see a “closed permanently” sign. It happens
all the time. That’s why there are so many people who are already negative in
networking.
I’m not against the idea that your success still depends on you. But before you
join a company, I suggest you study it first. Is it stable? Do they have quality
products? Do you have a wide market, or are you tied to Philippine market only?
Are the products unique and exclusive to the company? How about the owners?
Do they have experience in network marketing? Do they provide trainings? Do
you see them in the office?
You need to acquire the skills and attract people to your networking business.
But before that, choose the right company first so your efforts are not wasted.
This is like a car race, where the car is your company. Even if you are good in
driving but your car has a problem, you will still reach the finish line slowly.
What if your car stalled in the middle of the race? So, choose the right car first.
Then, enhance your skills, because no matter how good your car is, if you don’t
have the right driving skills, still, you will not reach the finish line.

Create The Future You Want
Ever since I can remember, I have always been hearing that maxim that says
"the future will always be brighter and better."
I am sure that you have also been hearing it.
Flowing from that maxim is the fact that no matter how dark it is today, surely
the Sun shall rise again on the morrow and brighten the darkness; that no
matter how hungry we are today, certainly hunger shall not be our bed mate
tomorrow; that tomorrow would surely find us better than we were yesterday or
are today.
These are all assumptions that can become reality or remain as they are
because, the future does not create itself.
The future is created by men and women as the case may be based on their
own perceptions and realities.
This means that any person desirous of a better future MUST sit down with
himself and His Creator to map out the plans to create such a future and that
is not an easy task.
The person has to be sure of what s/he wants out of life; s/he has to know
how to get what s/he wants and also put the appropriate plans in place and
then work on them, a bite at a time.
If the future represents growth, then growing up is the tool for reaching there
and fortunately all human beings are exposed to the same tools for growth as
laid down from the time of creation. It is the appropriation of these tools and
implements and in the cultivation of the farm given to us that the difference is
made between those who achieve their desired growth and those who suffer
from arrested development.
This therefore means that we get out of life the much we put into it because life
is a hard taskmaster never willing to give anyone an inch more than he or she
has asked for.
There can be no better future for a man or woman who makes no efforts at
bettering himself or herself right from when he or she is pliable and highly
impressionable to when he or she is set in his or her ways.
Just as a woman carries a pregnancy for at least 9 months and in due time
brings forth a new life, so is the future. Each person born in this world is
"pregnant" with his or her future and in order to bring it forth, s/he has to
jealously guard the gestation period and allow nothing to interfere with the
birthing process.
If you are strong willed and determined to make an impact, you would work on
your plans and create your desired future.
For the faint hearted, willing only to be told what to do, not willing to take any
initiative of their own, the future will always be a mirage which continues to
disappear and appear again as effort is made to reach it.
Your future is in YOU, go create it as you want it.
