HEMORRHOIDS or PILE
Hemorrhoids gotten from the Greek word 'haimorrhoides' which means veins that are liable to discharge blood, are clumps of enlarged blood vessels in the a**s and lower re**um. Sometimes, hemorrhoids can swell when the veins enlarge and their walls become stretched and irritated by passing stool. There are two types of hemorrhoids; Internal and External hemorrhoids.
According to research, nine out of every ten people will have hemorrhoids at some points in their lives.
Hemorrhoids are as a result of swelling in the a**l veins. This swelling can be caused by;
*Obesity
*Standing/sitting for long periods.

*Eating a low-fibre diet.
*Holding one's breath while straining to do physical labour.

Treatment options and home remedies for A**l itching and hemorrhoids:
For A**l Itching;
First endeavour to always clean your a**s properly after defecating.
Avoid moisture around your a**s. Dry up with toilet paper after washing with water.
Take lots of warm water and lemon. This will remove unnecessary sugar in the body and other things that can lead to obesity. Warm water will also soften your faeces, so you won't have to strain yourself much. Try this by taking two cups of warm water first thing in the morning, wait for forty-five minutes before taking breakfast.
But if it continues
Take anti-inflammatory pain killers.
Use Vaseline around your a**s before defecating.
The use of wipes too.
If the pain persists, then you have to see a doctor who will refer you to a gastroenterologist; a specialist in digestive diseases.
