QUESTION:
Hello , I'm traveling from town for about 3 weeks, how do I preserve my solar energy setup or is it safe to put it off and travel?

ANSWER:

1. If you are traveling for about 2 to 3 weeks and there is no one to look after your home, kindly charge the battery till full capacity the day you are leaving and switch off the inverter and the solar charging line also, no charging and no discharging while you are away for a while.
2. Call us to install a timer switch to power certain load that won't drain the battery and force it to shut down, either outside lights that would come on at night and goes off in the morning via programming or your freezer to work only at specific time that won't shut down the battery. With this you don't need to put the entire setup off and your battery is protected.

NOTE:
't ever leave your solar energy set up charging without discharging for a long time, your battery will suffer and it will die in no distance time.
't also leave your battery in sleeping state for too long, sulfation will kill the battery after about three to 4 months of inactive.

This is battery management.
