STRATEGIC SELF-DEFENSE and SECURITY: in areas where the government has completely failed to provide security, as in Zamfara and other conflict zones, communities may need to consider organizing their own defense. While this can be risky and must be done carefully, forming local defense groups—guided by strict principles of community protection and human dignity—can fill the vacuum left by a failing state (NG). It's important, though, that these groups remain focused on defense rather than becoming sources of new violence or instability.

3. NON-WESTERN ALLIANCES and ALTERNATIVE PARTNERSHIPS: If Western nations and western global organizations have not offered meaningful support, it might be time to look towards building new alliances with emerging powers or other nations that have faced similar struggles. This doesn’t necessarily mean turning to RUSSIA or CHINA for support, but seeking out countries that have undergone periods of political and social turmoil such as INDIA, MEXICO or BRAZIL and have emerged with alternative models of governance or economic management. For example, looking to countries in Latin America or Southeast Asia that have had similar battles with corruption and oppression can offer lessons or inspiration for alternative paths forward.

1.DECENTRALIZATION AND COMMUNITY-BASED GOVERNANCE: Rather than relying on a centralized government that already disconnected from the people’s needs, whom failed villagers and communities. People can focus on local, self-organized systems of governance. In this model, power is shifted to local councils, traditional leaders, or community cooperatives, which are more in touch with the immediate concerns of the people. This can help regions better manage their own resources, enforce local laws, and provide security without depending on a distant and often unresponsive federal government.In some regions, traditional systems or even local militias (vigilant or yan sa kai)have stepped in to provide security and services where the government has failed. While not perfect, empowering local structures can reduce the over-reliance on a dysfunctional central authority(NG).
