Someone asked me if activities like this are usually fun or if it’s just work 😂

I said it could be both. For me, it definitely is because I like learning new things about new things😌

I enjoy being in spaces where I can listen, ask questions, meet people, learn from their experiences and sometimes even have my own perspective challenged.

And I think the best part is that the things we learn don’t have to end with us. We can take them back to our communities, share what we know, contribute where we can and hopefully make a difference, even if it starts small and I’m here for all of it.

Ssshhhhhh!!!!! 🥶

Excited because a little while ago, when I first started experimenting with processing banana fibers, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing… or what I was even going to do with them. 😂

And now here we are: my very first banana fiber handle and raffia-like banana fiber fringe! On my first prototype of this design! That I’m most certainly going to carry around !!(before make I keep am?😂)

This bag is inspired by the forms and textures of traditional mud houses(cylindrical) except… sideways😂(check previous posts for details)
