📅 DAY 1 – What is Trading?

Theme: “Making money by buying and selling, but in a smarter way.”

“Can you really make money by just clicking ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’? 🤔”

Yes.  but only if you understand what’s going on behind the scenes.

Let me break it down for you, no confusing words, just real talk.

🧠 WHAT IS TRADING? (IN SIMPLE WORDS)

Trading means buying and selling things to make a profit. That’s it.

You’ve already been trading in your everyday life without realizing.

Let me give you a  REAL-LIFE EXAMPLE.

(Buying & Selling Tomatoes)

Let’s say you bought a basket of tomatoes for ₦2,000 in the morning.
Later that same day, prices go up in your area due to scarcity.
You now sell that same basket for ₦3,000.

You just made ₦1,000 profit, without planting tomatoes.

That’s trading.

You're not making the product, you're just timing your buying and selling smartly to earn from price movement. That's exactly what's happening in the digital trading.

EXAMPLE #2 – Dollar Exchange in Nigeria

Imagine you bought $100 at ₦1,200 = ₦120,000 total.
Next week, the dollar jumps to ₦1,350.
You sell that $100 and get ₦135,000.
You just made a ₦15,000 profit without doing any hard labor.

That’s called currency trading. In the forex market, traders do this every day but digitally, using charts and apps.

📈 IN ONLINE TRADING (FOREX, CRYPTO, GOLD, ETC.)

You're not trading tomatoes or dollars physically.
You're trading digitally using an app or software.

You click Buy if you believe the price will go up.
You click Sell if you believe the price will go down.
If you're right, you make money. If you're wrong, you lose money.

🛠 HOW DO PEOPLE KNOW WHEN TO BUY OR SELL?

This is where trading skills come in, People study charts, news, price behavior, and patterns to predict the market.
