The increasing rudeness and disobedience among children, especially teenagers, is a serious issue that needs our attention. I recently witnessed a situation where a woman was speaking to a pr***en girl who responded disrespectfully. Instead of calmly correcting the child, the woman began insulting her, saying the girl's behavior would lead to her downfall. This response left me feeling very upset.
We shouldn't "cut off the head to cure a headache." Harsh reactions don't solve the problem.
Many teachers in secondary schools are now adopting an "Operation mind your business" approach because they fear backlash from parents if they discipline a child, who might then report the incident inaccurately at home.
It's time for everyone to take responsibility. Some children may come from homes where proper parenting isn't prioritized, but schools also play a crucial role. Here's what we can do to address this issue:
1. Train Teachers: Teachers need training in emotional intelligence and handling teenagers effectively. This will help them respond to misbehavior in a way that corrects without causing harm.
2. Establish Clear Rules: Schools should create clear rules against indiscipline and ensure that these rules are consistently enforced.
