Obinna Okwodu, the founder and CEO of Fibre is one of our International Education ambassadors. Obinna was recently named as one of Africa's Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs by Forbes Magazine. Obinna attended Olashore Intl School in Lagos. He later did his A levels in England before moving to the United States.
Obinna earned his B.Sc in Civil Engineering from MIT School of Engineering and a Management Science degree from Sloan School of Management. Shortly after graduating, Obinna moved back to Nigeria to start Fibre Lifestyle a real estate booking start-up in Lagos that allows middle-income tenants the option to pay monthly.

Do you know that one of the goal of the U.S. Mission in Nigeria is promoting opportunities and development? As part of this effort, the American Center of the U.S. Embassy in Abuja on Monday October 15, trained over fifty participants on how to use Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for professional and career development, and how to use MOOCs to engage in life-long learning. The participants were introduced to a variety of online courses relevant to professional development across different subject disciplines, and on effective strategy and techniques for getting the best out of courses - especially from U.S. based institutions. The session was facilitated by the American Center’s Director Sagir Musa Ahmed.

Congratulation to Nigeria’s "Save a Soul" team on winning the junior gold scholarship at the Technovation ! The team of five girls from Regina Pacis School Anambra were coached by 2017 Uchenna Onwuamaegbu Ugwu and the team pitched FD-detector, an app for detecting fake pharmaceutical drugs.
