🇫🇷 Study in France — and potentially qualify for a faster route to French naturalisation.

French law provides a possible reduction of the usual 5-year residence requirement to 2 years for certain foreign students who successfully complete two years of higher education toward a French higher-education diploma.

This is not automatic citizenship. Applicants must still meet the other naturalisation requirements, including French-language and integration requirements.

* Key changes from the latest update:
• Pakistan and I Nigeria saw increases across several categories
I* In-Canada visitor visa processing improved from 29
→ 24 days
• Philippines work permits improved from 7 → 6 weeks & Super Visa processing from Pakistan remains particularly long at 196 days
Remember: IRCC processing times are estimates, not guarantees, and individual applications can take more or less time depending on the case.
