Did you know the FSP is divided into 2 key communication sections?
👨🏽‍⚕️ Arzt-Patient Gespräch:
Communicating with patients, taking histories, and explaining diagnoses.
🩺 Übergabegespräch:
Presenting patient cases and discussing them with fellow doctors using medical German.

One tests your communication with patients.
The other tests your communication with colleagues.
The FSP isn't just about speaking German, it's about communicating safely and professionally as a doctor in Germany. 🇩🇪

Which section do you think would be more challenging for you? Tell me in the comment 👇🏾

Month 1–6: Learn German to B2
Month 7–12: Verify your degree, prepare your documents, and apply for your licence.
Year 2: Pass your language exam, secure your first hospital role, and begin your medical career in Germany.
That's the reality for most serious doctors.
Not the "move in 6 months" stories.
Not the shortcuts.
Not the promises.
The doctors succeeding in Germany today didn't get there overnight. They started early, stayed consistent, and followed a structured plan.
The question is: are you preparing for your future self, or waiting for the perfect time to start?

Where are you currently on your Germany 🇩🇪pathway? 👇🏾

I got the highest score in the speaking section ofmyC1 German exam.
Not because I was in Germany.🇩🇪
Not because I attended a language school.
I improved by speaking consistently with tandem sprach
partners and ChatGPT.
Most learners focus on grammar. I focused on speaking, making mistakes, and building confidence.
You don' have to wait until you get to Germany to start
improving your German.
Start today!!!

What's your current level: A1, A2, B1, or B2? 👇🏾

Meet Dr. Ebenezer Okechukwu Ebenezer Okechukwu, direktor dr.Jakpa
This photo was taken the day he arrived in Germany🇩🇪 after fleeing the war in Ukraine in 2022 with no B2 German, no job, no visa, no license, and no resident permit.
This was the beginning.....almost deported, he had to navigate the German licensing pathway on his own with no step by step guide & no mentor.

Today, he is a licensed doctor in Germany, fluent in German, and helping other Nigerian doctors avoid the same confusion, delays, and costly mistakes through .Jakpa

If your japa story is messy too, tell me where you are in the comment or if Germany is part of your future plans, where are you currently on your journey?👇🏽I read all in the comment.

🇩🇪Germany doesn’t need more foreign doctors desperately.
They need doctors who speak German and pass their exams.
Your UK/US dream might be blocked.
Germany has a clearer path for those willing to grind language.
But it’s work, not magic.

Be honest, how ready are you for the language part?
Tell me in the comment, I read all👇🏾

A medical degree alone is NOT enough to practice medicine in Germany.
If you studied medicine in a non-EU country, Germany generally expects you to be fully licensed to practice in the country where your medical qualification is recognized before applying for medical license in Germany.
It's one of the most overlooked requirements in the entire process—and one that can change everything.

Know the rules before you make the move.

Berufserlaubnis is temporary permission to work while preparing for Approbation.
Approbation is the full licence.
Most rush Berufserlaubnis, burn time, then realise the real exam (FSP) is still ahead.
Two different games.
Don’t mix them up.
Choose your state wisely.

Three exams.
Three completely different preparation strategies.
Three completely different points in the process.
This week I am going to break down all three - what they test, when they apply, and what most doctors get wrong about each one.

Follow .jakpa so you don't miss it.
If you already know which exam you are preparing for - drop it in the comments.👇🏾
I’ll read everyone and answer your questions

Germany 🇩🇪 Timeline reality:
Month 1–6: Get to B2 German (GOETHE).
Month 7–12: Anabin confirmation + Berufserlaubnis application in your chosen state.

Year 2: FSP exam + start working.
This is the average for doctors who treat it seriously.
Not the “Germany in 8 months” stories you see online.
