Here's a short step-by-step guide on how to make garlic powder:

1. Gather Your Ingredients: You'll need fresh garlic bulbs, a knife, cutting board, a dehydrator or an oven, and a blender or food processor.

2. Peel the Garlic: Start by peeling the garlic cloves. You can do this by pressing down on each clove with the flat side of a knife, which makes it easier to remove the skin.

3. Slice the Garlic: Thinly slice the peeled garlic cloves. The thinner the slices, the quicker they will dehydrate.

4. Dehydrate the Garlic: There are two common methods for dehydrating garlic:
- Using a Dehydrator: Arrange the garlic slices on the dehydrator trays, making sure they are not touching. Follow your dehydrator's instructions for garlic, typically set it to around 125°F (52°C), and let it run for 8-12 hours until the garlic is completely dry and brittle.
- Using an Oven:Preheat your oven to its lowest setting (usually around 170°F or 75°C). Place the garlic slices on a baking sheet in a single layer and put them in the oven with the door slightly ajar to allow moisture to escape. Check them every 30 minutes and remove when they're completely dry and crispy (this may take several hours).

5. Cool the Dehydrated Garlic:Let the dried garlic cool to room temperature. It should be brittle and easily crumbled.

6. Blend Into Powder: Place the dried garlic slices in a blender or food processor and pulse until you achieve a fine powder consistency.

7. Store the Garlic Powder: Transfer your homemade garlic powder to an airtight container, preferably glass, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored, it should last for several months.

That's it! You now have homemade garlic powder ready to enhance the flavor of your dishes.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make ginger powder:

Ingredients and Equipment:
1. Fresh ginger root
2. A sharp knife or vegetable peeler
3. A cutting board
4. A food dehydrator or an oven
5. A spice grinder or blender
6. A clean, dry glass jar for storage

Steps:

1. Choose Fresh Ginger:
- Start by selecting fresh ginger root that is firm and free from mold or blemishes. The ginger should have a strong, spicy aroma.

2. Prepare the Ginger:
- Rinse the ginger root under cold water to remove any dirt.
- You can peel the ginger using a knife or a vegetable peeler, but it's optional. Peeling can help remove any tough outer layers.

3. Slice the Ginger:
- Using a sharp knife, slice the ginger into thin rounds or small pieces. Thinner slices will dehydrate more quickly.

4. Dehydrate the Ginger:
- If you have a food dehydrator:
- Place the ginger slices on the dehydrator trays in a single layer, making sure they are not overlapping.
- Follow your dehydrator's instructions for drying fruits or vegetables. Generally, ginger can be dehydrated at around 135°F (57°C) for 4-6 hours.
- If you don't have a dehydrator:
- Preheat your oven to its lowest setting (usually around 170°F or 75°C).
- Place the ginger slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put them in the oven.
- Leave the oven door slightly ajar to allow moisture to escape.
- Check the ginger every hour or so until it becomes completely dry and brittle. This may take 3-4 hours or more.

5. Grind the Dried Ginger:
- Once the ginger is fully dehydrated and brittle, remove it from the dehydrator or oven and allow it to cool.
- Place the dried ginger slices in a spice grinder or blender.
- Grind the ginger until it becomes a fine powder. Be patient, as it may take a few minutes.

6. Store the Ginger Powder:
- Transfer the freshly ground ginger powder into a clean, dry glass jar or an airtight container.
- Store it in a cool, dark place

Mama Emeka, was faced the daily challenges of managing her household amidst the worsening economy. With prices soaring and her family's needs increasing, she needed a solution. One day, while chatting with her friend, Nkechi, she learned about the benefits of bulk buying.
Inspired by Nkechi's advice, Mama Emeka decided to give it a try. She started purchasing her foodstuffs in larger quantities. Initially, it required a bit of extra money, but she soon realized the remarkable benefits.
Firstly, she saved money. Buying in bulk allowed her to take advantage of discounts and lower unit prices. This meant she could secure essential items at a fraction of the cost compared to her previous small-small purchases.
Secondly, Mama Emeka saved energy. No longer did she have to make frequent trips to the market, battling long queues and the hustle and bustle of daily shopping. Bulk buying meant fewer trips, which translated to more time for her family and other pursuits.
Lastly, she saved time. With groceries stocked up, she no longer needed to rush to the market every other day. Mama Emeka could now focus on her family, her business, and even enjoy some well-deserved relaxation.
As the Nigerian economy continued its challenges, Mama Emeka's smart decision to bulk buy not only helped her family save money but also eased the everyday stresses of managing a household. It was a lesson in resourcefulness and adaptability in the face of adversity, demonstrating that even in tough times, there are ways to make life a bit easier.

This should be you, take that smart move today by buying your groceries in bulk from us. Let's make your life a little easier. Send us a DM today to place your order
