You know what I have been noticing lately?

A lot of people want to raise broilers for Christmas, but once you tell them they have to start with day-old chicks, they begin to calculate the stress.

Some people already have space.
Some already have money for feed.
Some are even planning how much they will sell their birds in December.

But brooding?

That is where many of them are not interested.

They don't want to start waking up at night to check heat, monitoring the chicks closely, watching their feeding and making sure everything is going well during those first few weeks.

They just want to buy birds that have already passed that stage.

And that is why I think those who know how to brood chicks properly should pay attention now.

The demand for 3-week and 4-week broilers is already increasing.

Many people preparing for Christmas would rather buy birds at that age and continue raising them from there.

So if you know how to brood well, this period can favour you.

You don't necessarily have to brood only the birds you want to finish yourself.

You can brood for people who don't want to go through the stress of starting from day-old.

But there is another side to it.

Don't just brood because you heard people are buying.

Make sure you know how you will sell before the birds are ready.

Because you can raise very good birds and still be stuck with them if nobody knows you have them.
