PRAYER FOR YOU ON ARAFAT DAY
O Allah, on this blessed Day of Arafah, we ask You for mercy that enriches us, forgiveness that purifies us, and contentment that fills our hearts. Grant us, our loved ones, our teachers and shaykhs, and our parents the greatest share of every good.
O Allah, forgive us and forgive our parents. Have mercy upon them as they raised us when we were young. Reward them abundantly on our behalf, bless those of them who are living with health and goodness, and raise the ranks of those who have returned to You. Make their graves gardens from the gardens of Paradise.
O Allah, protect our loved ones and families. Grant them happiness, well-being, and peace of heart. Keep away from them every harm and hardship, and open for them the doors of success, provision, and acceptance.
O Allah, bless our shaykhs and teachers. Benefit Islam and the Muslims through them. Reward them with the best reward for all they have taught us. Grant them sincerity, acceptance, and elevated ranks.
O Allah, make this day a witness for us and not against us. Write for us on this day prayers that are answered, provision beyond measure, relief from every worry, healing for every sick person, mercy for every soul that has passed away, and sincere repentance before death.
O Allah, free us, our parents, and our loved ones from the Fire. Admit us into Paradise without reckoning or punishment, and reunite us with those we love in the highest levels of Jannah.
And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his companions.

Yah Allah! Please save us from those politicians causing hardships and spoiling the good fortunes you bestowed upon us in Nigeria.

Yah Allah! Please choose for us the best leader who would not be a disaster to our lives and the lives of all our loved ones.

Please give us a leader who will not be a tribalistic or religion bigot. A leader who will value the live and properties of everyone irrespective of His religion or tribe.

Emmanuel Osodeke, President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said that the ongoing strike which they started on February 14, wouldn't have lasted this long if politicians’ children attend public universities in the country.

Osodeke who reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari's directive for the strike to be resolved in two weeks in an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday July 19, alleged that the federal government "released money to be shared in villages because election in coming".

He said;

“Two weeks is too long. The issue of renegotiation has been completed by both sides, which means that one is gone. They should just come back to us and say ‘we have agreed, sign it’. That should not take two days.”

“If you have a crisis in your house, you will source for money to resolve that crisis — the way they are sourcing for money to do all kinds of things.

“We were told they spent billions to feed children in schools. Is that correct? How many children have you seen being fed. They released N200 billion for entrepreneurship programme.

“Your universities are closed for five months, you did not release N100 billion, but you released money to share in villages because election is coming. It is the priority you place on education.

“Government should prioritise education as number one priority in the country, because all of us here, wherever you are, you must pass through the school. Now that you have killed it, we are wasting our money on foreign countries.

“Last year, according to CBN, Nigerians spent N1.6 trillion as school fees to other countries. N1.6 trillion will turn around all the universities in Nigeria and bring them to standard and people will come from outside. We go outside; nobody comes in.

“For this strike, universities are shut down. Those who run the affairs of Nigeria – national assembly and executive arm – they do not have any problem. Their children are not here. If the children of all the ministers and senators are al
