Ajakaju: Bèast of Two Worlds’ is about King Towobola (Odunlade Adekola), surrounded by diàbolic women, from his wives to his mother (Sola Sobowale).

Faced with the thrèat of abdicàting the throne for not having a male heir, he brought home a strange woman who spelt more tr0uble for him.

The movie narrates the story of a king, Towobola, whose reign was threa.tened because he had no heir to his throne despite being married to three wives.

Although the king’s three wives are all pregnant, everyone is intrigued and anticipates a son among the king’s three wives. Even the king’s mother, IyaOba, has warned the three pregnant wives to ensure they give the king an heir.

To bring joy to the king, Oyenihun (one of the king’s wives) meets her mother, who gives her a concussi0n with severe instructions that the mixture must not be touched. However, Oyenihun fails to keep this instruction.

The king’s wife tried all sorts of màgic to make him happy and bear him a son, but this was almost impossible, and the sons were far coming, as they all bore daughters.

One night, the king surprised the kingdom with a strange woman, Adaralewa, without a trace of her family. He married this new woman he became fond of, and there was so much joy in the kingdom. But this joy was short-lived. Strife soon began among the wives, and it didn’t end there!

Something seemed pretty off about this woman; she spoke to the king with no reverence.

Adaralewa was able to conceive and bear the King a son, but immediately after giving birth, she threw the child into the fire. This upset the king, but he forgave her and gave her a second chance. She conceived and bore the king another son, but again, when she delivered her child, she threw him into the water.

Outraged, the king unveiled Adaralewa’s secrèt: she was an Antelope bèast! And as sècrets unfurled, the palace held darker truths than the king ever imagined.

BREAKING: 29 suspects arraign for invasion of Oyo state secretariat over clamour for Yoruba nation.

Twenty nine suspects have been arraigned before an Ibadan Chief Magistrate Court for their alleged involvement and roles in the invasion of Oyo state secretariat at the weekend with intention to hijack government.

The suspects comprising male, female, young and old were arraigned on a seven count charge bothering on treasonable felony, going armed in conducts likely to cause breach of public peace and order, illegal possession of fi****ms amongst others.

Their offences, according to the Investigative Police Officer, Bakare Rasaq, an Inspector with the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan are contrary to and punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap 38, Vol.II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.

Presiding over the case, the Chief Magistrate OO Ogunkanmi adjourned the case to the 1st of August 2024 for hearing and ordered that the suspects be remanded at the state correctional centre, Agodi.

Don’t transact in dollar – EFCC warns schools, hotels, others

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has warned schools, supermarkets, hotels and others against charging for services in the country in dollar or any other foreign currency.
EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede, in the latest edition of the commission’s monthly e-magazine, released on Monday, threatened to jail anyone found dollarising the economy.
The EFCC boss cautioned that anyone caught collecting dollar for services or goods would be treated as a criminal in accordance with relevant Nigerian laws.
He vowed that the commission would go after schools, supermarkets, hotels, estate developers and business operators that used the dollar for transaction instead of naira.
“We have also started securing convictions. Schools that charge Nigerians in dollar, supermarkets that trade in dollar, estate developers that sell their property in dollar, hotels that are invoicing in dollar, we are coming after you and we have made arrests in that area.
“Yes, if foreigners are coming in and the only means of transacting is their credit card, and dollar, why not, you will get that.
“But document it properly as against selling things within the system, local economy and you will be using dollar as the medium of exchange, it is illegal.
