The Word from The Throne.

Behold, a king will reign in righteousness,
And princes will rule with justice. 2 A man will be as a hiding place from the wind, And a [a]cover from the tempest, As rivers of water in a dry place,
As the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. 3 The eyes of those who see will not be dim, And the ears of those who hear will listen. 4 Also the heart of the [b]rash will understand knowledge, And the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly - Isaiah 32:1-4.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan, so says Proverbs 29:2. The standard for leadership on earth is expressly spelt out in the scripture for children of God to follow, when they have the opportunity to ascend to positions of authority in the course of their journey on earth. The standard set out in the scripture is the minimum for any child of God to yardstick on.

The position of authority on earth is for service and not for lording it over those we are supposed to guide rightly when we have the privilege to ever get there. Just as the scripture says - "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning.." Romans 15:4. Whether in the corporate, in the public or in the home front, the standard is, - the people you preside over MUST REJOICE WHILE IT LASTS, that is the standard required by God. When you fall short of this required standard, you have failed yourself in your faith, and you have failed God in His expectation of you.

The position of authority is for managing the collective resources of the souls you are called to preside over, not for your aggrandisement, not for your ego boosting ventures, not for vindictive adventure, and not for you to arrogate power of lordship on yourself to the detriment of the souls you are called to guide rightly. Accountability, should be your starting point in all you do, knowing fully well that you have a divine template to run with. The people will attest first to your adherence to the set standard here on earth, and then divinity will make recordings about your faithfulness in the assignment you have been called to undertake. Be very clear in your conscious awareness that YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT.

The Word from The Throne.

I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. - Psalms 16:8.

One verse of the bible that makes the day fulfilling for children of God is our scripture passage today. This verse, though looks basic and simple, yet very powerful when appropriately used with reverend in devotion. The best way to start the day to ensure that the success of God comes to our benefits per day, is to start our day with this powerful verse.

This is a way of telling God that He alone is the custodian of all we expect in each day for success in all we do. Our hustles are what we do on a daily basis to make ends meet, when we bring Him into it right from the start of the day, He makes the lines fall for us in pleasant, and critical places of needs and benefits. Our lives become easy and smoothly devoid of stress and rancour when we place them in His hands as He expects of us.

He is the God that knows all, that is in all places, and that can do all things according to His riches in glory. Because He requires us to ask Him whatever we wish from Him, He will always glorify Himself by answering and granting our requests and fulfilling our daily yearnings to accomplish. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, let us live our lives prayerfully on a daily basis, and He will always glorify Himself in our endeavours.

The Word from The Throne.

"Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep". Psalms 127:1-2.

In all your getting, the scripture says, get understanding. In another instance, the Bible says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures, James 1:17-18.

Drawing inspiration from the above scriptural passages, it could be conveniently established that all that we are sent to this world to accomplish lies with the Lord, and He is the only one that can guide and lead the way to perfectly accomplish the designated end purposes for His will. Just as we are limited in knowledge and ability, so should the need for us to fulfill our purposes on earth increase our yearning for guidance of the designer of the purposes.

Unless the Lord builds the house...

In the contemporary world, you need an architect to design your building project for you, and you need his expert guidance to have his visioned house erected perfectly without deviation. So also in life, you need the guidance of God, the designer of your life and purpose to guide you on, all the way for you to be able to perfectly accomplish your earthly purpose. You must work and walk with Him all the way so that you can travel on the rough, rocky and undulating road of life gloriously to arrive at the designated destination for your life.

We must get the understanding that, we are not in this world only for ourselves, but for other purposes designed for us to accomplish as well, for the edification of humanity, and glorification of the Supreme God who has sent us to undertake such purposes for the fulfillment of His will. Our success in life is anchored on working and walking with God who holds the manual for the assignment we run on here on earth while we live. We are His creatures sent to fulfill His will on earth.

Happy Sunday friends. May the inspiration of the Most High come on you today, that you may have the understanding of your purpose and assignments here on earth for the glory, and unto the glory of the Lord God our Father.

The Word from The Throne.

Giving thanks to the Lord for His unending goodness is a way of life that all children of God should embrace. We do things that others do without the grace for safe escape. We eat the same food that resulted in poisoning for others who ultimately passed on as a result. We ply the same route that spilled the blood of many, even though we are not more righteous than those who were not spared, yet we are covered.

The scriptures say in Psalms 127:1 "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain". What makes the difference in these situations is "Grace". The unmerited favour of God that keeps His elects and upholds those that believe in Him and trust in Him. Psalms 143:2 has this to say - "And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified".

If it be by grace then, it's not because we are Christians, or because we have any super power that ensures our escape in many instances of risk and danger. It is the grace of God that upholds us and ascertains deliverances for us, even when we ignorantly walk into the shadows of death and inevitable dangers. We are saved by grace and not by work, so says the bible.

In the light of these, as children of God, we should live our lives giving glory to our Father God ceaselessly. Psalms 119:164 gives us a guide by saying, "Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments". Cultivate a life of praise unto the Lord your God, and you shall continually witness His grace without ceasing.

The Word from The Throne.

Hebrews 12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us..

God in His word promised us so many beautiful things to make us live the life of overcomers in our lives, while we live by His dictates. One of such promises is found in Isaiah 54:10 "For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed." However, all these promises are with qualification requirements.

The book of Isaiah 1:19 said "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land".

To qualify for the sanctity of these promises, you must have proven to be obedient and true to the precepts of God. His precepts are not weighty beyond running with. The precepts are summarised by Christ Jesus in the book of Matthew 11:20-30 thus: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light". And to further lay credence to this submission that we need to qualify to enjoy these promises, the book of Micah 6:8 has this to say "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

The human nature is naturally resistant to doing what is right MOST of the time, for this, Christ came to bestow grace unto us, and after His ascension He still sent the Holy Spirit to assist us in the compliance process to the precepts and dictate of the living God. Once you accept Christ into your life and the Holy Spirit comes upon you, already you have what it takes to resist the sinful human nature that besets, and rebels against the precepts of God.

Knowing the precepts and mindset of God for our lives entails that we study His word deeply on a regular basis. This enlightens us about those hidden promises, and the requirements for qualifications. To qualify for His goodness at the larger level, the book of 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". In essence therefore, will you now be willing and obedient to His precepts?

Happy Sunday friends. I pray that the grace of God that passes all understanding comes upon us with amazing insight that we may be willing and obedient to His precepts, in the name of Christ Jesus.

The Word from The Throne.

"..looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God". - Hebrews 12:2.

Everything that we encounter here as we sojour on in this space has a purpose and objective in the plan of God for our respective lives. Like the book of Ecclesiastes says - "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven..". There is a graduation in all that happens to God's children in their lifetime. Your journey requires sacrificing distracting pleasures that could cause derailment on your way. It requires sacrificing all, and deferring your opulence till you get to the terminus.

Suffice to say, submission make your journey less dramatic when you run with the plan and purpose of God for your life. You will pass through phases that brings joy, and other phases that bring uncharitable experiences like the patriarchal fathers. This is what makes living a learning course. Just as we have night and day, we shall experience both the bitter and the sweet, at different times. Just as we have sun rising and it's setting, we shall come, exist and then depart. What we do, and the impact they will have in the future on the lives of future living will determine how faithful and obedient we were.

Christ Jesus came to fulfill a.purpose, a mission and a project divine. For His relationship with God, He foreknew what the assignment would be, what He will go through and what He needed to run through in His lifetime on earth. For this, He endured the pains on the cross looking beyond the earthly travails. With this mind-set, every child of God is expected to live by the day, because it brings courage and hope while we live and journey on.

Discovering your purpose and mission on earth is a prerequisite for preparing for the journey ahead. The much you know about your mission, the deeper your preparedness for the tasks ahead. Running a race for the trophy is equitably achievable based on your level of focus in preparation. It takes discipline, perseverance, long-suffering, avoidance of every form of distractions and sacrificing all pleasure that besets to arrive the terminus to time. Persistence is key in your training towards the marathon of life journey. Be prepared, focus, ready and willing to give what it takes to achieve and accomplish. The value you attach to the end destination is the fuel to combust your way through to the terminus. Resolve to win the race.
