Dear New Tailor,
Don’t be afraid to start small, because growth on sight is better than growth in imagination.

🪡 That little corner you’re sewing from today can become a fashion empire tomorrow.

🪡 That one machine can multiply into a factory.

🪡 That one client can open doors to hundreds.

Every “big name” tailor you admire once sewed in a room so small they could measure cloth on the bed. What made the difference was consistency, improvement, and visibility.

Small is not a disadvantage. It’s your training ground.

Small is not shameful. It’s your foundation.

Small is not permanent. It’s your beginning.

So, start where you are. Use what you have. Show your work with pride.
Growth is not about where you begin, it’s about how you build.

Dear tailor, your greatness is already cutting and stitching its way out of that small space. 🪡✂️👔

Positioning your brand doesn’t need money it needs clarity.

When most people think about building a brand, the first thing that comes to mind is money. They believe if they don’t have a big budget for ads, packaging, or influencers, then they can’t really stand out. But the truth is, money is not the first requirement for brand positioning. Clarity is.

Clarity means knowing exactly who you are, what you offer, and who you are serving. When you are clear about your identity as a brand, your message becomes stronger and easier for people to connect with. Even without a big budget, people will remember you because of how you positioned yourself in their minds.

Think about it. There are people on social media who don’t have millions of followers, but their message is so clear that you immediately know what they represent. They show up with consistency, they speak directly to their audience, and they stick to their lane. That’s brand positioning and it doesn’t cost a dime.

Money can help you scale, but clarity is what helps you stand. Without clarity, even if you have all the money for marketing, your brand will confuse people. But when you’re clear about your values, your style, and the problem you solve, opportunities start to find you naturally.

So instead of stressing about how much you don’t have right now, focus on what you do have your story, your skills, your vision, your voice. Positioning is not about having the most resources, it’s about being remembered for the right reasons. Money may get attention, but clarity builds a brand that lasts.

*Your pain your gain*

I am grateful for those painful experiences. It helped me shape my brand into something stronger, something that stands on value, respect, and quality. At the time it felt like rejection, but now I see it as redirection.

If you are a creative or a business owner, maybe you have had that one client who made you feel small. Do not let it destroy you. Let it shape you. That painful moment could be the very thing that gives your brand the backbone it needs.

Truth is you can’t keep pleasing all your clients no matter how hard you try some will always see fault so just do you best and leave the rest.

Pain is not your enemy, you need it to bath the real you.

Failure is part of the process, not your end.

Failure can be your best friend and your biggest enemy simultaneously. The only thing that defines failure is your perspective about it. Understandably, you do not want the label of a failure, but that doesn’t imply that you give up on your dreams, goals, duties, and ambition.

Instead of seeing it as your enemy, welcome it and think of it as a lesson you need to learn for your growth. This positive attitude will turn the tides, and every failure will start to bring you one step closer to success. I’ve known many people that kept experimenting, kept failing, remained persistent, and succeeded. The key is to not give in to the fear of failure and keep moving forward.

ALAO Akala hardly spent weekend in Ibadan as Governor. Every Friday, he must sleep in Ogbomoso. One day on his way to Ogbomoso with entourage, he peeped from his car, saw a man whose car broke down on the road trying to fix his tyres.... Akala asked his convoy to park... Everyone was shocked, not knowing that the man on the road was Akala secondary school mate in Ghana.

He jumped down from the car, rushed to the man, the two embraced each other, even with the dusty hands of his friend, Akala didn't mind. After little talks, Akala asked the man to give his key to one of his aides... "You fix this car and meet us at home".... He asked his friend to join him in his own car. They went to the Governor's house in Ogbomoso.

After eating Amala, Gbegiri and Ewedu... They discussed at length how life had treated them both since their departure from Ghana. "why haven't you come to greet me, don't you know I'm the Governor?" Akala asked.... "It's not easy to see you, they'll just embarrass me for nothing..."

Akala, immediately, gave him a brand new Toyota Camry and some money..... "See me on Monday in office with a good proposal"....

That was how he changed the fortune of his friend who he hadn't seen in decades.......

May God answer your prayers too.

*Be nice to your friends irrespective of their status.

*Hmmmm

How many of your class mates or friends have you ever helped when you had the opportunity? Didn't you become terror?
Didn't you use them as slaves because they are serving under you?
Don't you behave as if where you are today is your own making.
Were you the most brilliant while you were in school?

Akala played his part in the life of his class mates well. You too should play your part in the lives of your class mates/friends well.

You will soon expire and become 'ex, .... former ......., immediate past.......'. in that position.
The children of your class mates/friend may one day
