If you are a fashion designer, baker, chef, barber, interior decorator, event planner, hair dresser, make-up artist, skin care expert, teacher, etc...
And you're not earning as much as you should, there are two major reasons for it.
It's either;
1. You are NOT doing the business the right way. OR
2. The industry is NOT a lucrative one.
For number: a lot of people think doing business is all about posting, "I sell this.. I sell that.. you will like it.. come and buy.. 10k only. DM to get yours...bla bla bla"
That is a very wrong approach to selling. When it comes to selling, the person who makes the most money is the person who 'help' the most people because...
People don't care about you or what you sell. They care about how what you sell can be of help to them. So if your message is all about buy buy buy, patronise me.. you won't sell much.
Stop selling your products and start selling its benefits. Stop selling your services and start selling it benefits.
You are a barber, why do I have to patronise you?
How different is your barbing skill from the previous barber who disorganized my frontal hairline even after sweating profusely from over 45 minutes of barbing? 🙄
You are a skin care therapist, what makes you think I should buy from you after spending a lot of my hard earned money on fake organic creams that never worked?
You all fashion designer and tailors are full of lies and disappointments. Mr. Fashion designer, are you anyway different from the rest? If yes, how?
I hope you get the drift..sell the BENEFITS of your products or services not the products or services itself. People pay for benefits not for products.
For number 2: NOT all businesses are lucrative even if the market demand is as high as mount everest.
You have to be careful what industry you go into, if you are someone that really wants to make a lot of profits from whatever you offer in the marketplace.
Some industries are already saturated with experts and professionals who already have the attention of virtually all 'qualified' clients or customers.
Competing with them especially if you do not have what it takes, would be nothing close to success.
If you want to make money faster, look for a niche or an industry with not just a high market demand but a high ROI (Return On Investment).
For instance baking, event planning and interior decoration is a large market, but it's a seasonal and contract-based business.
That is to say if nobody is celebrating in a month, no job or sales for you and that means no money for you. 🥲
Imagine staying 2-3 months without selling, how will you make money? Meanwhile, a freelancer on Fiverr has worked for over 10 clients and made about $2,000 from each of them.
You as a baker or event decorator can't make more money than him, as a freelancer and ofcourse you can't be richer than him.
So thats why its advisable that you always pick a lucrative niche with high market demand and high ROI. The goal is to make money, I mean a lot of it, consistently.
Therefore, pay more attention to businesses that will help you make more money (passively) even with less work.
