The generation of profile codes for the 2026 JAMB examination has officially begun. This is a very crucial step to begin the 2026 UTME/DE registration as no applicants can register without this.

*HOW TO GENERATE JAMB PROFILE CODE*

JAMB SUSPENDS 2025 O'LEVEL RESULTS UPLOAD ON CAPS:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has temporarily suspended the uploading of the 2025 May/June WAEC results to its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) due to technical glitches encountered by WAEC.

We therefore advise candidates to exercise patience during this period.

JUST IN: 62.96% candidates pass WASSCE as WAEC reviews 2025 results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has reviewed the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) earlier released on Monday.
Speaking with reporters on Friday in Lagos, Head of National Office (Nigeria) Dr Amos Dangut, said with the review, 62.96 percent of the candidates who sat for the examination had credits and above in a minimum of five subjects including English and Maths.

*2025 WASSCE: Recheck your result on our portal, WAEC directs candidates*

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has advised all candidates who participated in the 2025 school-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) to recheck their results on its official portal within the next 24 hours.

This directive was issued on Thursday via a statement released by the Council’s spokesperson, Mrs. Moyosola Adesina, amid growing concerns over the accuracy of the recently published results.

“On this note, candidates who have previously checked their results are advised to re-check after 24 hours from now.

“WAEC remains committed to upholding excellence, fairness and transparency in all our assessment processes,” the statement stated.

1. The *minimum age for admission* into any tertiary institution in Nigeria *remains 16 years*.

2. The Ministry has established the Central Examination Malpractice Unit (CEMU)*, which will be implemented across all institutions to curb examination malpractice.

3. All O'Level examination bodies — *WAEC, NECO, and others — will transition to Computer-Based Testing (CBT)* mode for their examinations.

JAMB ACTIVATES SMS METHOD TO ACCEPT ADMISSION ON CAPS:

New Admission Acceptance Requirement on JAMB CAPS:

As of now, all candidates accepting admission on JAMB CAPS will be required to undergo "verification of their UTME-registered SIM card". Please take note of this new requirement to avoid any issues with your admission process.

GUIDELINES:

1. SIM Card Verification Mandatory:
- Candidates must have access to the same phone number (SIM) used during UTME registration to accept their admission.
- If your registered SIM is lost, damaged, or unavailable, you will not be able to accept your admission offer.

2. Action Required:
- If you no longer have the registered SIM, take immediate steps to retrieve or recover it (e.g., visit your telecom provider for a replacement).
- Only candidates with access to the registered phone number can proceed with admission acceptance.
