It was two great days of deep discussions, practical and relatable activities, resulting in leadership transformation.

The content which was designed by Hemsley Fraser, UK team of experts, for a multinational with presence in over 40 countries around the world, is designed to engage and transform leaders
leveraging on 5 Cs: Clarity, Connection, Creativity, Confidence, and Commitment.

Key concepts driving performance learning were Psychological Safety; Diversity Equity and Inclusion; Self Awareness and Regulation.

In Leadership, Self‑awareness and self‑management are the twin disciplines of inner mastery, seeing oneself truthfully and governing oneself intentionally, so that one’s leadership is not a reaction to circumstances but an expression of purpose, clarity, and character.

Self‑awareness without self‑management leads to insight without transformation.
Self‑management without self‑awareness leads to discipline without authenticity.

Leadership requires both.

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠
It was an absolute privilege facilitating our recent High Impact Leadership session with the dynamic managers of the Bank of Industry.

In today’s VUCA world (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous), leadership requires more than technical expertise - it demands adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire across multigenerational teams.

𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅:
• Self Management: Building resilience, managing energy, and leading with clarity even in uncertainty.
• People Management: Creating trust, fostering collaboration, and motivating diverse teams to achieve collective goals.
• High Impact Leadership: Driving influence not through authority, but through vision, empathy, and consistent ex*****on.

The feedback from participants was truly inspiring. Many shared how the session gave them practical tools to navigate complexity, lead with confidence, and elevate their impact within the organization.

The future belongs to leaders who can balance strategy with empathy, and it was energizing to see BOI managers embrace this challenge with enthusiasm.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
Today we spoke about Cultural Intelligence - a quality every leader needs to navigate the nuances of a multicultural workforce.

When ignored, diversity can quickly turn into chaos rather than a strategic advantage. But when embraced and managed with intention, studies show that heterogeneous teams consistently outperform homogeneous ones in creativity and innovation.

𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒊𝒑𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎:
•Practice active listening: Go beyond words to understand cultural context and meaning.
•Adapt communication styles: Flex your approach to suit different cultural preferences.
•Foster psychological safety: Create an environment where all voices feel valued and respected.
•Invest in cultural learning: Continuously build awareness of global norms and practices.
•Lead with empathy: Recognize that inclusion is not just policy - it’s lived experience.

We just wrapped another powerful session on 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝑬𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚’𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍‑𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚.

A key highlight was our module on Developing and Deploying an Effective CRM Strategy, where we broke down how to assess needs, choose the right support systems, and implement CRM in a way that drives real commercial impact.

And then there was this participant who told me at the beginning: "I hate sales, I just had to come." At the start, he sat with his arms crossed so tightly you’d think he was guarding state secrets. But somewhere between mapping customer journeys and discovering how CRM could make his job easier, something shifted. By the final exercise, he was visibly enjoying himself and later said, “I don’t know what happened, but I think I like this stuff now.” Transformation complete.

Through case studies, hands‑on digital tools, and a reminder of the timeless principles that anchor great selling, participants walked away energized and equipped.

The best part? Every participant said the training exceeded their expectations.

𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 & 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒎‑𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈

If you want to stand out at work, stop trying to be the hardest worker… and start being the clearest thinker.

Most careers don’t stall because people lack effort. They stall because people don’t slow down long enough to think.

That’s where critical thinking and problem‑solving come in; the two skills that quietly separate high performers from everyone else.

Here’s the truth:
In today’s workplace, speed is overrated. Clarity is everything.

Critical thinking helps you cut through noise, question assumptions, and make decisions based on reality, not pressure, bias, or guesswork.

Problem‑solving helps you break issues down, understand root causes, and take action that actually moves the needle.

Together? They’re a career superpower.

These skills help you:
• Make better decisions
• Adapt when priorities shift
• Collaborate without ego
• Deliver results that last
• Grow faster because you’re not just doing the work, you’re thinking about the work
This is how professionals become indispensable.

𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲
A mid-level manager once shared how she was overlooked for promotions despite delivering excellent results. Her turning point came during a board presentation where she deliberately slowed her speech, maintained eye contact, and projected calm authority even when challenged. The CEO later told her, “That was the moment I saw you as a leader, not just a manager.” Within six months, she was promoted.

𝑬𝒙𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 is the invisible quality that makes people lean in, listen, and trust you to lead. It’s not about titles or authority, it’s about how you show up, communicate, and inspire confidence.

It is the ability to project confidence, credibility, and clarity in a way that makes others believe in your leadership. It’s the link between competence and influence.

𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Executive presence is often described across three dimensions:
•Gravitas (How you act): Confidence, integrity, emotional intelligence.
•Communication (How you speak): Clarity, persuasion, storytelling.
•Appearance (How you look): Professionalism and authenticity.

Together, these form the perception of a leader who can be trusted in high-stakes situations.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫:
📌 Accelerates career growth by signaling readiness for bigger roles.
📌 Builds trust with stakeholders and clients.
📌 Inspires teams to perform at their best.
📌 Strengthens organizational reputation.

🎯 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲:
Executive presence is not innate, it’s cultivated. By mastering gravitas, communication, and appearance, leaders can transform competence into influence. It’s the quality that makes others believe, “Yes, this person can lead us.”

Yesterday, our MD was formally inducted into the 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 (𝘾𝙄𝙤𝘿) 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖, alongside several distinguished leaders from industry and government.

This induction marks not only a milestone in his professional journey but also a reinforcement of the values our company stands for: ethical leadership, sustainable business practices, and principled governance.

For years, our MD has actively engaged with peers, boards, and leaders across diverse sectors, championing the belief that principled leadership can transform organizations and societies. His induction into CIoD strengthens this commitment and provides a broader platform to amplify these ideals.

In today’s complex business environment, directors must embody resilience, transparency, and accountability. Governance is not a checkbox - it is the foundation for sustainable impact.

We are proud of this achievement and look forward to the deeper conversations and contributions our MD will bring toward shaping boardroom excellence in Nigeria and beyond.

Congratulations to all the distinguished inductees.

Participants at this training were midlevel Managers and Team Leads, spanning Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧: to equip these Team Leads with the ability to create win-win outcomes in diverse scenarios with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong negotiation isn’t about winning at the expense of others; it’s about deepening relationships and maximizing value for all parties involved.

𝙒𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙:
•The Psychology of a Negotiation
•Practical principles to apply in real-world contexts
•Developing a Concession Strategy
•How to turn a weak bargaining position into a position of strength

We delved into case studies that brought theory to life. To make learning impactful, we built a psychologically safe and fun environment. Group competitions and rewards kept energy high while reinforcing collaboration and creativity.

Negotiation is not just a skill, it’s a mindset. When done right, it transforms challenges into opportunities.

I’m excited to see how these managers will apply these skills to drive stronger partnerships and sustainable success.
