Recently, I came across an article titled "Thinking first versus googling first: Preferences and Consequences" that sparked a shift in my approach to memory retrieval. I realised how often I default to googling first instead of relying on my own memory.
I've been consciously pausing before reaching for Google and challenging myself to recall information independently. It's been eye-opening to discover how much knowledge we actually retain within ourselves, waiting to be accessed.
By prioritising internal retrieval over immediate searches, I've noticed some improvement in my memory recall speed. This experience underscores the importance of nurturing our own cognitive abilities and fostering a deeper connection with the information we encounter.
