Please read this very well.
In fact, read it slowly and make sure you understand what
I am about to say because it will SAVE your school.
If your school is still running in 2026 without government approval —--
you are putting all you have worked and labour for in life at a serious danger.
Read the above state one more time — Have you done that ?
Okay, let's continue.
Let me remind you of something I know that you know …..
✔️ One visit from the ministry of education can cause you serious problems.
✔️ One complaint from a parent to the quality assurance
unit of the ministry of education can start the Wahala
✔️ One school owner in your area who does not like the fact that you are
operating a school close to them can put sand-sand for your tea or Garri
And the next thing you will see is that your school is shut down by the government.
Now, let me talk to you as a friend will talk to a friend that he loves.
I know many school owners are running their schools
with hide and seek (luck) and not government approval.
Children are coming — Parents are paying school fees and teachers are teaching.
So you think all is well even without getting approval from the government.
But the truth is …..
IF THE GOVERNMENT HAS NOT APPROVED YOUR SCHOOL, YOU ARE NOT SAFE.
Let me explain with a simple story.
Two women opened schools in the same year —-- Both loved children —- Both worked hard.
But they made different choices.
Let's call the first woman Mama Ayo —- And call the 2nd woman, Mama Zainab.
Both of them started their school without registering with the government.
First year ….. Their schools looked the same.
They both have pupils.
They both have teachers.
They both have beautiful school uniforms.
They both said —-- “School is school.”
But after operating for one year, Mama Zainab went to the ministry of education to
register her with the government and get a provisional
approval as a school recognized by the government.
Mama Ayo carried on to run her school without government approval.
3 years later, things changed and what happened is better imagined than becoming a reality.
Let me explain why.
That you have not registered your school means:
❌ The government does not know your school officially.
❌ If ministry of education should visit your area and discover you have
being running your school for 1, 2, 3 years without approval,
they can lock your gate and ask you to stop operating as a school.
❌ If a parent report your school to the quality assurance
unit of the ministry of education —- nobody will support you.
❌ If officials from your state ministry of education come, they may not listen to
your explanation before they pronounce that your school be closed down immediately.
And when your school is closed by the government even for one day or one week,
Some parents will not waste time before taking their children to another school.
Even if you later settle with the ministry, the news that your
school was closed down by the government would
have spread to many parents in your area and beyond.
So, why put the school you are struggling to grow in such a dangerous situation
WHEN YOUR SCHOOL IS REGISTERED, it simply means;
✔️ Government knows your school and allows it to run it officially.
✔️ You have permission to teach children.
✔️ Your school is legal and recognized by the law of your state and Nigeria.
✔️ You and your school are protected.
✔️ You can talk if a problem comes up.
✔️ Government cannot just close your school anyhow, even if someone reported you.
✔️ Parents trust your school more.
✔️ You can advertise your school without fear.
✔️ You can grow from nursery to primary to secondary.
And many other benefits that you cannot even imagine.
And this is why Mama Zainab’s school grew.
Yes, —- She started small, but she did the right thing to avoid government Wahala.
Let me tell you the truth, even if it pains you.
Running your school without registration in 2026 is not wisdom —- IT IS DANGEROUS.
And the danger there is that in 2026 the government will be more serious with
getting money (in form of taxes) from private businesses
and private schools are one such business. So, be ready.
The government will be checking schools more than before.
If you truly love your school and you care about your pupils or students.
If you want your school to continue for many years …. REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL.
Yes, it costs money —- Yes, it takes effort — But if the government
closes your school, you will lose more money and you can lose the whole school.
I know it's possible you are thinking …. Afterall,
I have been running without registration and nothing happened.
I want you to know that unregistered school can feed you today, but
A registered school is the one that is capable of feeding you today and tomorrow.
If your school has pupils or students, you have teachers and uniform —
Then, your school is BIG enough to be registered.
In 2026, don’t wait until the government teaches you a painful lesson.
Do the right thing in 2026.
Thank you and I love you.
