Kwara NSCDC Boss Sets Clear Standard: Discipline, Professionalism And Results Are None-Negotiable
The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Abbas Ndah Mohammed, has set a clear and uncompromising standard for officers of the Command, declaring that discipline, professionalism, accountability and results must remain the foundation of their service.
The Commandant made this position known on Wednesday 7th October 2026 during an Expanded Management Meeting held at the Ade Abolurin Hall, NSCDC Kwara State Command Headquarters in Ilorin, with Heads of Departments and Units, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders in attendance.
The meeting provided a strategic platform to critically review the Command’s operations, identify emerging challenges, strengthen coordination and establish practical measures for improved performance and service delivery across the State.
Commandant Abbas charged officers to remember that the reputation of the Corps is bigger than any individual, urging them to protect the good name built by generations of officers through disciplined conduct, professional service and responsible leadership.
He directed all personnel to discharge their statutory responsibilities at all times in strict compliance with the Rules of Engagement (ROE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other established guidelines governing their duties.
Commandant Abbas warned that there would be no room for indiscipline, negligence, misconduct or actions capable of bringing the Corps into disrepute, stressing that any officer who falls short of the required standard or acts contrary to established rules will face appropriate consequences in accordance with applicable regulations.
He further charged senior officers and field commanders to take ownership of their respective areas of responsibility, strengthen supervision, improve information flow and ensure that directives are translated into visible and measurable results.
The meeting also featured operational briefings and presentations from various formations, with officers examining challenges affecting operations and proffering practical solutions aimed at strengthening the Command’s effectiveness and responsiveness.
The State Commandant emphasised that the meeting was not merely another management gathering, but an opportunity to reset priorities, strengthen accountability and reinforce the collective responsibility of every officer towards the mandate of the Corps.
He urged officers to return to their respective formations with a renewed sense of duty, reminding them that the true measure of leadership is not in the position occupied, but in the results produced and the standard maintained.
The NSCDC Kwara State Command remains committed to its statutory mandate and to strengthening operational synergy with sister security agencies, relevant stakeholders and the people of Kwara State in the collective pursuit of a safer and more secure society.
