Sometimes in march 2016, we installed a 4kw inverter and a PV array size of 3.6kw plus a battery bank size of 20kwh flooded lead acid.
After about 2 years of constant use, the lead acid battery bank failed and we had to replace them in 2018 at twice the cost.
The batteries failed again after about 2 years or so.
Few days ago, we had to convince our very good client to embrace a more energy efficient approach to solar energy. So we had to install an upgrade for him using a 5.5kw hybrid inverter and a 5kwh lithium battery using the same PV array he had.
We believe he will experience the difference in battery backup efficiency compared to the lead acid type used previously.
