While most people are fast asleep, we are wide awake, chasing something bigger than comfort.

This is me at 2AM in the market, offloading goods that will be ready for sale by morning. No spotlight, no applause just hard work, sweat, and determination in the quiet hours of the night. The kind of effort nobody celebrates, but everything depends on.

People often see the end result. They see the market open, the goods arranged, the business running. What they don’t see is the sacrifice behind it, the sleepless nights, the exhaustion, the risks we take, and the discipline it takes to keep showing up no matter how tired we are.

The hustle is deeper than what meets the eye. It’s waking up when others are resting. It’s stepping out into the night despite uncertainty, despite challenges, despite fear. It’s pushing your body and mind beyond limits because you believe in where you’re going.

In a place where challenges are real and security is never guaranteed, we still move. We still show up. We still do what needs to be done. Not because it’s easy, but because giving up is not an option.

This journey is not just about making money. It’s about building something meaningful. It’s about resilience, responsibility, and purpose. It’s about proving to yourself that no matter the circumstances, you can rise above them.

So when you see us tomorrow, standing strong in the market, understand that our day didn’t just start it never stopped.

Respect the grind. Respect the sacrifice. Respect the journey.

Because this is what real hustle looks like.

Today was more than just a business transaction, it was a moment of proof.

A farmer walked into my office with baskets of fresh tomatoes, the result of months of hard work, patience, and dedication. No middlemen. No unnecessary delays. Just a direct connection.

We had a clear understanding, a simple agreement, and a shared goal.

The tomatoes were received. Quality checked. No stress. No back and forth.

And most importantly, payment was made successfully and instantly.

You could see it in his smile. Relief. Satisfaction. Confidence.

And for me, it was the same feeling because this is exactly what I’ve been working towards: a system where farmers are respected, paid fairly, and treated as true partners.

We both left happy.
No losses. No exploitation. Just value exchanged the right way.

This is what partnership should look like.

And this is only the beginning.

To every farmer out there, this is for you.

If you’re tired of selling your produce at unfair prices…
If you’re tired of watching middlemen take the biggest share…
If you want a system that respects your effort and pays you what you deserve…

Then it’s time to do things differently.

At AJ NIG LTD, we are building a direct partnership with farmers one based on trust, fairness, and real value.

No hidden terms.
No exploitation.
Just a simple and transparent way of working together.

Bring your produce.
Let’s work hand in hand.
Let’s create a system where your hard work truly pays off.

The opportunity is here.
The door is open.

“People in Port Harcourt are increasingly contributing to the rise in tomato prices in Nigeria. Whenever they want to buy tomatoes, they purchase them in large quantities, regardless of how expensive they are. They don’t seem to care about the cost. In contrast, when Port Harcourt speaks, Lagos tends to stay on the sidelines and just watch.”

With the way prices are rising in the market, especially for perishable items like tomatoes, tatashe, and green pepper, it’s important people understand what’s really going on.

This situation is not just caused by marketers or farmers trying to increase prices. It’s something that happens every season. Right now, most of these items are out of season. Many farms have already finished harvesting, and there aren’t enough active farms producing large quantities at the moment.

This period, when harvest has ended and the rains have not fully started is always difficult. For example, once the heavy rains begin, tomatoes can become very scarce and even more expensive.

As it stands, prices are unstable and keep changing, which is why I haven’t been updating prices regularly. The market has not yet settled at a fixed rate.

So please, do your best to buy what you can now and preserve it. Whether you refrigerate, boil, grind, or use any other method just try to store perishable items while you can.

This will help you manage better during this period.

Every day, my DM is filled with one major question:
“How exactly will this partnership with farmers work?”

And more importantly:
“How will you reduce the losses farmers face during peak tomato season?”

To be honest, when I first got that question, I smiled. Not because I didn’t have an answer, but because some details are meant to be shared directly with the farmers I’ll be working with. Partnership is built on trust, and some conversations belong within that circle.

But let me speak on the vision.

During peak season, we all know what happens, tomatoes flood the market. Supply becomes overwhelming, demand drops, and prices crash. Farmers suffer the most. Their hard work goes to waste, and losses become unavoidable.

That is the problem I am committed to solving.

As the CEO of AJ NIG LTD, I am working towards controlling that loss, not by theory, but by action.

Here’s how:

Instead of allowing excess tomatoes to spoil during peak periods, I will be stepping in to buy directly from farmers. Not as a middleman exploiting the situation, but as a partner working hand in hand with them.

These tomatoes, along with peppers and other vegetables, will not go to waste. They will be:

* Dehydrated
* Processed
* Packaged
* And in some cases, milled into powder

This means surplus produce is preserved, value is added, and farmers are protected from massive losses.

Now, another common question:
“How will payments work?”

That part is simple but it’s also something I prefer to discuss directly with the farmers involved. Every agreement will be clear, fair, and mutually beneficial.

What I can say openly is this:

I was told that when tomatoes sell for ₦10,000 in the market, middlemen often buy from farmers at just ₦4,500 to ₦5,000. To me, that is completely unfair.

Even after considering the cost of transporting produce from farm to market, the imbalance is still too wide. Farmers invest heavily time, money, effort, only for others to take the biggest share of the reward.

That is the system I am determined to challenge.

I want to work directly with farmers, side by side, to change that narrative and create something better, for them, and for the future of agriculture.

This is not just business.
This is a system designed for impact.

A system where:

* Farmers win
* Waste is reduced
* Value is created
* And trust is built

If you’re a farmer, this is more than an opportunity, it’s a partnership.

I plan to create a dedicated group that will include myself and the farmers I partner with. Through this platform, we will openly discuss and agree on how to run the business effectively. My goal is to build a strong, transparent partnership where we work hand in hand for mutual benefit.

One of my key objectives is to help reduce the high cost of produce, especially items like tomatoes so that my customers can access them at more affordable prices. By partnering directly with farmers, I can eliminate middlemen, allowing farmers to earn better prices than what they currently receive, while still offering fair and reduced prices to customers.

Additionally, I want to address the issue farmers face during peak seasons. When tomatoes are in abundance, many farmers incur heavy losses due to oversupply and low market demand. Through this partnership, I aim to create a system that helps absorb excess produce, minimize waste, and reduce farmers’ losses, even during periods of surplus.

Overall, this initiative is about creating a sustainable system where farmers earn more, customers pay less, and losses are significantly reduced through cooperation and proper planning.

27/04/2026

My goal in partnering with farmers is to deliver fresh, high quality produce to my customers at affordable prices. By working directly with the source, I can guarantee top grade products while reducing costs, ensuring my customers receive the best value without compromising on quality.
