How can we curb food wastage?
: By value addition and distribution. But doing these alone can be cumbersome for small holders farmers,since it entails large capital......
The aim of this society is to curb food wastage in agriculture.
-Enable small holders farmers to make profits.
-Reduce unemployment rate.
How do we achieve all these?
Farmers whom are registered with smart agric have access to fertilizers,pesticides and modern farming methods.
If we look around,farmers have issues storing their produce thereby causing wastage. Smart agric intend to engage modern methods to reduce wastage by value addition.
Smart agric, is involved in three phases
-Cultivation
-Value chain addition.
-Distribution.
Currently,the cooperative only supports the following crops.
-maize.
-rice
-soy bean
-sorghum.
