Two weeks after the KADA SMEs Bootcamp, the memories still feel fresh.

Beyond the event itself, one thing that stayed impactful is the value of knowledge, conversations, and the power of networking in the right environment.

It was inspiring to see ambitious minds,
gather to share different perspectives, and be reminded that growth often starts with the rooms we place ourselves in. Every interaction carried something meaningful — ideas, opportunities, lessons, and motivation for the future.

Some events end in a day, but their impact stays far longer.

“Sir, how did you convince all these people with very tight schedules to attend a Kada SMEs Hub event on 9th May, especially when many of them came from different states?”

Three different people asked me the above question.

The surprise was not because of the calibre of the people in the picture alone, but because many others also travelled from different parts of the North to attend.

So, let me ask you too, what do you think could be the reason(s)?

Part 2 Kada SMEs Bootcamp 4.0

Dear Arewa,

If we truly agree that SMEs are the real engine room of regional and national economic prosperity, then one of the easiest ways to build an entrepreneurial mindset is by empowering our mothers, wives and sisters.

Children who grow up watching their mothers engage in business are more likely to see entrepreneurship as normal, possible and even necessary. Over time, many of them will naturally develop interest in business, either as a full time occupation or as a side hustle while working for someone else.

One of our biggest dreams is to build a community of resilient entrepreneurs across Northern Nigeria. People who can create opportunities despite difficulties, build sustainable businesses despite challenges, and raise a generation that sees entrepreneurship not as an option of last resort, but as a tool for economic freedom and regional development.

The future of Northern Nigeria depends greatly on how well we empower our women in more ways than one.

KADA SMEs 4.0 was never designed to be just another event filled with theories, motivational speeches, or imagined business scenarios. We brought reality into the room.

We brought experienced industry leaders who knows business beyond textbooks.

We created a real market for entrepreneurs.

We gave business owners direct access to experts in their industries.

We opened the floor for over 50 products to be displayed, promoted, and sold.

Most importantly, we connected entrepreneurs with real buyers, real networks, and real opportunities on the spot.

This is what makes KADA SMEs 4.0 stand out.

We are not just talking about entrepreneurship — we are building systems that create impact, visibility, collaboration, and growth for businesses. Every conversation, every exhibition stand, every connection made was intentional and focused on results.

KADA SMEs 4.0 is proof that when entrepreneurs are placed in the right environment with the right people, businesses grow, ideas expand, and possibilities become reality.

Alhamdulillah, Kada SMEs Bootcamp 4.0 was successfully held on 9th May 2026 in Kaduna under the theme: “Build To Last: Strengthening SMEs For Sustainable Growth.”

What started some years ago with barely over 30 participants has today grown into one of the biggest SME gatherings in Northern Nigeria, bringing together entrepreneurs, business owners, startup founders, professionals and ecosystem players from different states across the North.

This year’s edition focused on practical business growth, structure and sustainability. The conversations centred around how small businesses can move beyond survival mode and build systems capable of lasting for years.

Participants were trained on business management, record keeping, cash flow management, marketing, branding, customer retention, inventory management and sustainable business growth. The sessions were practical, engaging and filled with real business experiences, not just motivation.

The Bootcamp also created room for networking, mentorship, partnerships and exposure. Entrepreneurs interacted directly with experienced business leaders, financial institutions, tech companies and ecosystem builders who shared practical insights capable of helping businesses grow sustainably.

One thing this year reminded me again is that my biggest asset is my friends. Without mentioning names, there was a point, just few days to the event, when I almost gave up completely because the available funds could not support what participants paid. Honestly, Kada SMEs Bootcamp 4.0 would not have been possible without the moral and financial support of friends I only know on social media. Some of them, I have never met physically till today.

When I almost gave up, they insisted the programme must continue. From young people to senior citizens, they pushed us to the finish line. For that support, encouragement and belief, I say a very big thank you.

To our speakers, partners, volunteers, media platforms, sponsors and every participant that believed in this vision, may Allah reward you abundantly.

And to everyone who travelled from different parts of the country to attend with only one person as of today on transit back to Yobe, may Allah return you all home safely and bless your businesses abundantly.

Alhamdulillah.
