WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALL ABOUT

Two students enrolled into my photo - academy and we kick started today

I started by explaining these three fundamental things.
Most photography studio academy won't teach you, but it's important so you can open up your mind, it's quite important so that you can quickly develop your interest and niche down.

Find them below;

1) Definition of photography
I asked what photography is and one of the students said, it's all about taking fine fine pictures. His mind was opened afterwards

Photography is from two Greek words
> Photo - light from where you have photosynthesis, photocopy, photosphere (I explained each of them)
> Graphy - drawing, painting

Photography therefore means painting with light

That means THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN PHOTOGRAPHY IS LIGHT just paint is to the painter/artist.

No light, no photography
No light, no sight, no mood, no color

2) Based on number one, it means photography is beyond beautiful images.

We considered semantics and all

3) Why exactly are you learning photography?
