The American Pit Bull Terrier is faster, lower to the ground, and extremely determined.

Any Rottie owner will tell you: there comes a point where you just stop fighting it. You go from chasing a tiny 10-pound ball of chaos around the house to realizing that, at 110 pounds, if he wants that loafer, it’s officially his property now.

It’s not even about the shoe anymore it’s about the "defeated smile" you give when you realize they’ve officially outgrown your authority (and your footwear).

People talk a lot about “strong bite force” but PSI alone doesn’t decide how good or dangerous a dog is. Training, temperament, socialization, and the owner matter way more.

Most of these Molossian breeds were originally bred for guarding, protection, or hard working jobs, which is why they have such powerful jaws and muscular builds.

The Rottweiler might not have the highest PSI on this list, but anyone who owns one knows their confidence, loyalty, and intelligence are on another level 🖤

Rottweilers can be amazing family dogs, but they’re not “set and forget” pets. A well-trained and properly socialized Rottie is usually loyal, patient, and very protective of the people they love ❤️❤️❤️

But their size and strength also mean training, boundaries, and supervision around kids really matter. Especially for first-time dog owners.
The breed itself isn’t the problem. Poor training and lack of socialization usually are.

A good Rottweiler raised the right way can become one of the most devoted family companions you’ll ever have 🖤❤️❤️
