✨ Deep Talks, Real Wisdom & Kingdom Relationships! 🔥

Last weekend’s hangout with the Corpers and Youth was 🔥! The energy was high, the atmosphere charged, and the questions? Super honest and timely.

Two questions stood out and sparked powerful discussions:

1. “What’s your take on maintaining intimacy in a relationship through ‘touching’ — since it’s our love language?”

My response:

We are Christians. We know what is right and what is wrong. The Bible says we should flee every appearance of evil.

“Touching” might look harmless, but it’s a slippery slope that often leads to fornication.

As I told them:

“If you don’t want a degree, don’t start the pre-degree program.”

Once you introduce physical touching into a courtship, it clouds your judgment. Your vision becomes blurry. You stop seeing the person clearly and start seeing through the lens of lust.

That unholy fire crowds your memory and makes it hard to think straight. You can no longer properly discern if this person is truly God’s will for you.

Lust covers a multitude of sins. In this case.

The best way to court is to build something deeper:

Discuss your dreams, visions, and life goals
Talk about family, culture, and destiny
Pray together, fast together, study the Bible and life-transforming books together.

Challenge and support each other spiritually.

The moment you switch to “touching and hide-and-seek games,” all those meaningful activities stop.

Touching and s*x are NOT proof of love. Harlots do that with people they don’t even love.

Life is deeper than emotions.

2. “How do I present myself in a relationship so the guy won’t think I’m desperate?”

After a long, tiring sanitation exercise on Friday, we traded our brooms for joy and headed out the next day to Porto Golf ⛳ (Mijibir Park) — the crown jewel of resorts in core Northern Nigeria.

We came in full force! The atmosphere was electric from the moment we arrived. Laughter echoed, hearts were light, and the excitement on every face knew no bounds.

We dived into a beautiful mix of fun — exciting games, a spirited dancing competition, and deep, heartfelt conversations about life, relationships, and marriage. The energy was so infectious that many wished we could spend the night just to soak in the lovely atmosphere a little longer.

The food? Absolute perfection. We feasted on a sumptuous pot of jollof rice paired with juicy, well-seasoned meat, washed down with refreshing drinks that hit the spot.

We were prepared us for the speed boat section!

The moment we climbed aboard and the boat cut through the water, the thrill was indescribable. Wind in our faces, pure adrenaline, and uncontainable joy — it was the highlight of the day. That experience alone was worth every effort.

What made it even more special? It was almost entirely free for the participants, even though thousands of naira went down in planning and ex*****on. God truly showed up for us through the generosity of kind hearts.

This is a memory that will stay with us for a very long time.

A big shout-out to every Corper and Youth who showed up with such beautiful cooperation and positive energy.

To everyone God used to make this dream a reality — thank you!

Special appreciation to the incredible committee behind this two-day success. You fasted, prayed, brainstormed, mobilized, and sacrificed to ensure everything ran smoothly. May God richly reward your labour of love in Jesus’ name.
