COALITION FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE IN KATSINA STATE
A Rejoinder Against a Press Conference by one AbdulMumini Shehu Sani
The attention of the good people of Katsina state has been drawn to an ill-intentioned press conference by one Abdulmumini Shehu Sani, obviously, a rabble rouser, a poor student of politics and a chronic attention seeker, in which he tried unsuccessfully to bring the popular government of Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, to disrepute.
At this material time of the blessed month of Ramadan, it is a sacrilege to speak evil of people, especially those who are trying their best to better the lot of the common man. That is why we found it strange that someone in his right senses will engage in outright lies, falsehoods and phantom narrative against a government that is going out of its way respond to the wishes and aspirations of the people of Katsina state.
According to Abdulmumini, the government of Mallam Dikko Radda is too secretive. However, this claim is contrary to the facts on ground because the government has operated an open-door policy where all its policies and programs are being duky communicated to the people of the state. An example was the first 100 Days of the administration when Governor Dikko Radda held a press conference where he gave a breakdown of all government activities within the period. He was even asked questions by the gentlemen of the press and he answered all the questions. This is an example of transparency and openness.
Secondly, Abdulmumini alleged that the Dikko Radda administration has alleged that contracts and procurements under the Dikko Radda administration are not awarded in line with the Public Procurement Act and that details of contracts are not made public. However, just last month, Malam Dikko Radda flagged off the construction of road projects within Katsina metropolis where he and officials of the State Ministry of Works have details of the award of the road projects. Does Abdulmumini not read newspapers and list
